I toured Bethany Lutheran Village for my friend. It's lovely. It's accommodating. It has lots of activities. It has a lot of levels of care. It is also a buy-in community. So there's a buy-in or an annuity that you have to put down, which is okay, and it's much more reasonable than the places in Orange County for the services, but you don't age in place there. So you buy in at one level and then they care for you on the continuum. You buy an independent, then you go to assisted living, then you would go to nursing care. Annie was really good. She was helpful. I didn't eat in the dining area, but they have a café, and I've eaten there. The food was really good, and there was lots of variety.

I like Bethany Lutheran Village very much. They have independent living, apartments, cottages, and villas of different sizes, and they have nursing and assisted living. I haven't seen the inside of those places, but I have seen the inside of one of their main buildings, which was very nice. The dining areas were very nice, but I didn't eat there. We just went to an open house of the high-rise apartments and they're gorgeous. It's very highly rated. Everybody that lives there loves it. It's in a perfect location for us. It's very attractive and very well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. I know people who live there and they love it.

My parents are in Bethany Village. Its fantastic, and Ive been blown away by how they handled everything. It was a very modern facility, it has been updated, it has open spaces, and lots of windows. Its contemporary in its décor. They have a gym, two restaurants, it overlooks a big lake, it has a computer lab, and it has a big conference rooms for different activities.

My mother was with Bethany Village for about four weeks. Our experience was fair, but we weren't extremely impressed with the response to her needs and the staff's attitudes. The rooms were OK and the food was pretty good. They also had activities for the residents available. As far as the physical attributes, it was very nice, pleasant and well-kept. We weren't really happy with the staff service in general -- from the nurses, to the doctor, to the assistants. They weren't particularly responsive and they didn't have a very good communication from one shift to another. There were lots of different nurses so you never get comfortable with one or two, and it didnt feel like any one particular person was responsible for your care.

What I like about Bethany Village is that they have so many activities. I go to class every week with the assisted living and independent living residents. This place is quite modern with state-of-the-art amenities. They have long corridors and nice windows. This place is very well-built and very big, continuing across the street into the dementia and skilled nursing units. I liked this place very much. They have physical therapies, life-long learning classes, book clubs, and music. It has a very uplifting atmosphere.

The facility is just average and maybe just a tad better. The staff seems to do their daily functions as just a job will little to no caring about the resident. I saw resident males that looked like they had not seen a razor in a week. I saw female residents with wrinkled clothes as if there was no concern for how they looked. The meals were served on a timely mater but in a rush. Noone seemed to take time to even talk with the residents. The facility was nice and clean tho. There was no debris just sitting in sight.
