My grandfather was sent here and died within three weeks. He was then just discarded like a peice of trash. No compassion. Nurses on the phone calls no compassion. Allowed to see him after he passed. Only response was from lady at front desk, who stated he was on the fourth floor and that was it. We had never been inside because of covid. We had to find our own way to our loved one. We then received a call that we could come get his belongings. During this sad time for our family we drove down to get them and no one that works there knew where they were. Every time that we called before he had passed the nurse made it seem like he was a burden because of his dementia. Tried to do virtual visits and was cancelled on because "we wouldn't get anything out of him anyway". Totally missing the point that it's About seeing him. When we finally get him on the FaceTime at the end of the call they thought we were off and they stated "Well that was a waste of time." Judging by the demeanor of the staff on the phone and the way my family has been treated since his passing, my grandpa was not receiving proper care.
Bradford place is no place for anyone you care about.

My Grandmother was in her basement and had a nasty fall. She broke her knee cap and also her shoulder. After her hospital stay she ended up at Mercy Franciscan at Shroder. She was their for almost a month for physical rehab. Her stay was in the summer of 2011. Her nurses were friendly but couldn't seem to keep up with their workload. I assume they were understaffed. It took 3 or 4 attempts to get her menu order for her first weeks stay corrected. Seems like a simple thing to me but proved to be a challenge. I visited often and would have to make requests for my grandmother. She had tried to get these taken care of on her own but wasn't able to. There were a couple of times she had been requesting water for hours and never received any until I arrived. All of these issues were resolved within the first week. After this point the care was pretty consistent. It's an older building but the grounds were well taken care of and the facilities were always clean. They had a large common area with ample seating. Overall the staff was always friendly and Grandma spoke highly of them and she seemed to like it their. Her rehab went quite well considering her age (81) and the severity of her injury. When she was released she continued outpatient physical therapy, twice a week for 2 months. I feel this is where they excelled. She has her independence back and is able to drive. If it hadn't been for the rocky first week they had adjusting to her needs my rating would be higher, but their physical therapists were top notch.
