The Winfield at Richmond Heights is close to me. So, proximity was good. The campus has a nice grassy area. It's quiet and the building itself was easy to get around, but I think maybe for someone new moving in, it would take a little bit of getting used to. They had call buttons for safety purposes if something should happen (which was important for my aunt). They had a little kitchenette in their apartments. Some of them even have a den and a balcony, which my aunt liked. The amenities were nice. I saw both the independent and assisted living and we had a good discussion throughout the whole tour. Then afterward we sat down and just talked about my aunt and things that she was interested in. They wanted to get to know her a little bit more. The lady who gave the whole tour was very knowledgeable.

The Waterford at Richmond Heights was very nice and the people there were very accommodating. My mom used to be a resident in the independent living there. She was in a 1-bedroom apartment with a large den and full kitchen facilities. She went to the dining area to eat, but she could also cook her own food if she wanted to. It was very clean, the apartments were nicely-sized, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The grounds were lovely, and they have an actual location where the residents can do gardening. Plus the location is convenient, with a hospital just around the corner.

The Waterford was at the top of my list. The rooms were larger than the others that I looked at. The staff member who assisted me was excellent.

I went to The Waterford, and it was gorgeous. They had everything there, they had a dining room, they had activities galore, transportation at a certain radius, and housekeeping included. They showed me a physical therapy facility, beauty salon, an outside area for cookouts, and it was really nice. However, it was out of my mother's price range. The apartment had a huge bathroom with a washer and dryer inside, linen closets, and a shower and bath. It was roomy. I want to move there also.

The Waterford at Richmond Heights is a very nice and beautiful place. The staff all seemed to be very pleasant. The young woman who took care of me was a very nice and helpful woman who really went out her way. The grounds were very nice and clean. The eating area was very nice, kind of like a restaurant with tablecloths. They're just very good. The food smells good. The dining area was beautiful. They went out of their way to take care of their folks and had a very nice menu. My sister-in-law said it was good.
