My father is signed up to go in to Friendship Village Columbus. It's stuck in the 1980s, but it's good. Everybody seemed happy. The rooms were fine, and he will just have a studio since he's blind. I've only met with the director. It's not up-to-date at all. I suggest that they update the decor.

I toured Friendship Village Columbus. They do assisted living to nursing home. The place is kept up, but it was older, and it's like a labyrinth. The rooms are also older and a little run down. It's a maze to get to some parts of the complex, but the staff is friendly, and they provide meals.

I was very impressed by Friendship Village. The director of this facility was absolutely amazing. There's independent living and memory support. I went to Ridgewood Assisted Living. They have a craft room and everything is out in the open, from paint to just any kind of material, and you can go there day and night. There were places to work out, church services on the facility grounds, arts and crafts studio, woodworking studio, billiards room, and personal garden areas. It's like a little city. We were there for lunch in a gorgeous dining room. The cook in the kitchen came out and introduced himself and wanted to know how my meal was. I was impressed by that. The food was very good and very tasty. There's always an alternate for people who don't like what is on the menu. I thought that was very accommodating. This is where I would like to go if I needed assisted living.

My mother entered Friendship Village independent living and resided there for 6 years. When she became forgetful about taking her medicine and little things that in the past, became natural to her she was moved to Ridgewood assisted living. I cannot express the care and compassion she has received. The staff of nurses and aides have become my mothers friends. They take excellent care of her and the doctor that is on staff is available 24 7. I can go on vacation and feel she is in excellent hands. I thank God everyday for this facility and leading us here. Kudos!!!!

I was very impressed with Friendship Village of Columbus. It was all brick, the design and layout was campus type, and it was very nice. I did not have the opportunity to go into the rooms. I just saw two on my own through the place. The staff was very friendly. It was a very nice place, and I'm quite impressed by it. The dining area was quite impressive. Its demeanor was quite inviting. The general appearance as you are driving up is very impressive. It just radiates quality living. The inside was very warm. The décor was very warm, and everything was laid out very well. The workout facility is very well structured. If they did that for the workout facility, you have to say they did that for the rooms. The dining room is very nice, and I watched the people in there. They seem to be very pleased. It was just a nice décor. I just wanted to get a feel if there was anything in there that was appealing to me, and Friendship Village met my expectations.

I have 15 or 20 friends at Ridgewood at Friendship Village. The people I know who are there appreciated the staff. The rooms aren't big enough for me at the moment. I have tasted the food several times, and it was fine. The dining area was very nice. They have several study groups, they have people come in to do mini-concerts once in a while, and they have a lovely library. The security was very good.

We chose Friendship Village for my mother because they're offering all the needs that we have for her. The community is about 20 years old but it is clean. Everybody is very friendly. The staff are giving great services! Every one of them says hello to us. My mom has a one-bedroom apartment She has it all furnished by herself. She has a living room and a bedroom. She doesn't have a stove there but she has a microwave and a small refrigerator. We would be able to stay with her if needed, which is the biggest factor that we're looking for in a facility, especially when my mother likes us to stay overnight. Food is great! Overall, she has been happy there. She has been there for four months now and all she is saying is "I'm so happy here and everybody is nice."

Kind people work there - from the front desk, to housekeeping to maintenance. The food is stellar! The chef serves visually appealing and tasty food! The facility is aging, but kept in good repair and very clean. They allowed my father to have his two cats, which put them at the top of the list. They offer parking off-street and garages. Their activites are outstanding. A bus service to locations within a ten-mile radius is provided at no charge - this makes medical appointments easy for Dad to get to. I love the location - about 10 minutes from our home and 3 minutes from my office. Security is great, even though this is located in a not-so-nice area in Columbus's north end. Nothing but Kudos!~
