I was pretty impressed with the Anthology of Anderson Township. The person who gave the tour was very helpful and the facility looked nice. The staff was on the ball and the residents seemed pretty content. It's just a little bit more expensive.

Anthology of Anderson Township is extremely nice. The facilities are beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The dining area is extremely nice. The staff we met were extremely nice and friendly. I only saw 2 rooms that were like studio rooms. They have a dresser, closet, and space for a TV. They have a theater room and a lot of places to just sit and lounge. Everything is very bright,.The furnishings are relatively new. They have an exercise room with exercise things in it. There's also a salon inside.

The tour was amazing, and if I had been choosing a location for myself, I would've chosen Anthology of Anderson. It was more of a little faster paced place. Right at the moment, they were allowing visitors, and their salon was open. It was a newer facility, it was a little more like the communities I had worked in, and it was a little more upscale. My mom was born and raised and has lived in the country and on farms her entire life, so she's a little more down-to-earth, a little more plain Jane. Anthology of Anderson appealed more to me personally. The sales and marketing director and I just kind of really clicked in the conversation. I feel like the activities were a little more what I would be interested in, but I wasn't choosing for me, I was choosing for my mom. It's about two years old, very clean, and very nicely laid out. According to the sales and marketing person, they were having entertainment come in and doing some streaming, and actually allowing some residents to come and social distance to watch entertainment. Their residents were eating in the dining room at the time that I toured. That's kind of ever changing depending on COVID cases in the communities. If they get COVID cases, then they tend to go back into quarantine. It was a little more active community. The dining area was very nice, well laid out, and good sized. The rooms I toured were very nice, the way they were laid out, and just the way they were set up. They had nice-sized bathrooms with the walk-in showers. It was a little bit newer and nicer, but a little bit more expensive for one thing. It was not a good fit for my mother, and if she began to decline, I would have to move her to another location, but it's a very nice community. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and very friendly.
