Wesleyan Village was a big place, but it was a really nice facility. It looks like a big hotel. I only met one person, and she was also very nice and thorough. It was very clean and well kept. They have a library and a beauty salon. They also accept a Medicare waiver after you spend down your money.

My mom has moved into Wesleyan Village. It's really big and it has a lot of places that people can go to. They have a little store, a library, and a salon. It is just really nice and the people are super nice, too. Everybody that I've met so far is really nice and I like them. Her room is just the right size and she has it all to herself. There are three different dining areas, which all look really nice. They can do crafts and bingo. They have an indoor pool, a library, and a church. A pastor stays there so they can have services without leaving the facility. I would definitely go there if I needed to. They just opened up visitations on the 8th, so I've only gotten to visit her one time, but I didn't visit her in her room. There is a separate area in the building that they use for visits.

My mother loved living at the village. She had many friends, participated in various activities and enjoyed the staff and dining. My observations are that the Village lacks the funds to fix and/or maintain certain things on the premises and the kitchen experiences being short staffed. Aside from those 2 things, the Village managed her care very well.

We went to Wesleyan Village Assisted Living. The activities seemed to be more engaging because they had more independent living people integrated with the assisted living people. They tend to be a little bit more involved and more active. It was a very nice, clean facility, and the staff seemed to know all the residents. We saw the menu for the day, but we did not try the food. They had a card room, pool tables, ping-pong tables, library, and arts and crafts room. It's a little pricier for what you get in terms of the room. You only get a single room that serves as a bedroom and sitting room. It's very small.

Wesleyan is expensive. It’s very limited on who can get in, and you have to commit to paying for a couple of years before they’ll allow you to go on Medicaid. It’s a very nice place, upscale, exclusive. It has a cafeteria, shop, and fast food.

We placed Mom at Wesleyan Village. We chose it because it's close to our home, and they take Medicaid, which we will eventually have to take advantage of. The rooms are fabulous. The staff is phenomenal and extremely helpful.

My mother lived at Wesleyan Village, so we are very familiar with it. It is large, and all the services that you would need are there. It is basically across the street from the new high school, so there is a lot of activity there and a lot of people. It is a pretty tight neighborhood, an older neighborhood. They had just all kinds of activities always going on. They are not exactly what I care for or my wife cares for, but they are good. When my mother moved up there, it was a big step, and she stayed there for about five years.

My best option would be Wesleyan Village. They have everything there. As a matter of fact, they even have a skilled nursing home for my wife. They have assisted living. They have patio homes. The staff was really good. The activities program was full. Wesleyan Village was a big operation. It was expensive, but their system is set up that when you run out of resources, they will keep you under your expenses.

I was encouraged to learn that there were many options open to my parents for what type of situation they wanted. I am relieved to learn they can have their own apartment and yet have someone there to monitor my mother's health. My parents are very independent minded and don't want to think of themselves as being in a situation where they can't lock their door and know their property won't be disturbed. I like the fact that they have the option to either cook for themselves or eat in the cafeteria and that someone is there to help with household chores. The one thing that did disturb me is how expensive the cost is. However, after thinking it over, I feel the cost is well worth knowing they would be safe. I would be very relieved to have them in a place such as this and want to look into options for help paying for them to live there.I like the idea that there are activities for them, and even transportation to and from doctor appointments.

This facility is very nice. The outside is very well kept and has wonderful curb appeal. The staff that works here do an amazing job at keeping the rooms neat and orderly. They are very friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy interacting with all of the residents. The nurses always took wonderful care of my grandfather and made sure that he was happy up until the day he passed. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!
