We toured Yorktown Assisted Living, and I really liked it a lot, but we were on a long waiting list. It was a really nice facility. They had a lot of activities for their residents. I liked the little outdoor areas that the residents could go to. They were kind of like little terraces, and they were just very pretty. It seemed very peaceful and woodsy. The room seemed extremely nice and it seemed like they were very willing to help you get to the dining hall. They offered a lot of assistance to their residents there. The residents themselves were very friendly. Two of them came to talk to me, and they were very sweet. They told me my mother was going to love it there. The staff who gave me the tour didn't rush me through it. She really took her time to explain everything. She let us look at both rooms - the suite and the studio room. She went through everything. Mostly, what I liked was that they seemed to offer way more assistance than other places I went to. You're also allowed to have a dog there. So, I thought that was another plus when I saw a resident walking her dog down the hallway. The dining area seemed a little bit cozier.

My aunt lived at Yorktown Assisted Living for several years. The staff were very kind to her, went out of their way to make sure she had everything she needed. I was kept up to date on any changes going on. It truly is a lovely and caring community.

Yorktown Assisted Living Residence is very homey. They have friendly staff. They were very informative and caring. They have lovely studio apartments and one-bedroom apartments with a little kitchenette. We looked at both, and they're both very nice. They have daily activities, entertainment, movie nights, Zumba classes, and bingo, and there's an entertainer who comes in. They have a grand piano there, so they have a piano player. They have a hairdresser on site, too. It's two floors with an elevator. It is all carpeted. It is very appealing and very nice.
