My mother is in Absolut at Orchard Park. She is very low income, and they're the only ones that would accept her. She's on Medicaid, and they actually were willing to completely work with Medicaid. Getting information for when and how she moved in was a little bit difficult and with all the Covid restrictions. Everything had to be handed off to people. There were a couple of days where she was kind of without help; she wasn't set up, and it took more than 24 hours for her medication to get to her. I know that a lot of that was just the transition, but there wasn't a lot of communication with the family. My mom had to tell my sister and I, and then we had to reach out to the facility coordinator. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with Covid. The staff was incredibly responsive and once we reached out about anything, they tried to fix it. Mom wasn't happy to begin with, and she didn't understand how to navigate the food to begin with. She then figured out that if there's something she didn't like, she could ask for something else. She probably asks for something else a couple of times a week. They have activities, and I'm very impressed about it. They seem to do something every day. It's actually getting her out of her room and going down. Those are things she enjoys doing. She kind of sits in her room unless there's something really interesting. I think they do a lot to make the people get out of their room. I haven't seen the place. I have not gone physically, but my mom said it's definitely a little bit more rundown. Considering she is somebody who doesn't have much of an income, she shouldn't expect too much; pretty much Social Security paid for it. She has no income other than that.

My Mother is a resident in the assisted living facility. The staff are very friendly and most have worked there for a long time, which speaks volumes. Stacey the director of nursing is very helpful and clearly loves her job. They’re have been many renovations & improvements done lately which the residents love. I am pleased with my Mother’s care. A+++++

Absolut Care at Orchard Brooke is easy accessible for us. They have outings where they go on picnics and they also have transportation to wherever the residents need to go. They have 3 meals a day and they have 2 choices. They provide the housekeeping, assistance with his medicines, and they take care of his laundry and whatever else he needs. They have a utility man who takes care of his TV and electronic devices. He's got pretty much everything taken care of.

Absolut Care of Orchard Brooke was really nice and looked really clean. We talked to some of the residents who absolutely loved it there. They seemed really nice and caring. What impressed me was my mom didn't quite meet the full amount that they charge and they were willing to work with us.
