My mother-in-law moved into Maria Regina Residence Inc. several months ago. It's a nursing home and so far, it's been excellent. The staff all seem to be very friendly and caring, both towards the patients and toward the families. The food is good. When she wears clothing, it is immediately washed, dried, and returned to her closet or her drawers. In terms of amenities, the COVID crisis has caused them to have to cut back on things like trips and visits and things that they might otherwise do, which I understand is going to be opening back up. For instance, they don't eat in the dining hall, they eat in their rooms. They don't go on trips, they stay sequestered. As a result, they haven't had anyone test positive for COVID either in the patient population or among the staff in quite a while. It means that things ought to be opening up pretty soon. The things that they might otherwise do like art classes, things like that. They're not doing that because they're not putting people together yet. They have beautiful grounds, a beautiful atrium, very nice surroundings, and the facility itself is all private rooms so each resident has his or her own room. Because of the COVID regulations, I can't just pop on over there. We hope that soon we'll be able to schedule a visit on their online visit scheduling thing. It's not as freewheeling as it might have been before COVID or may hopefully become very soon again. My mother-in-law likes the food. It's a Catholic facility so on no-meat days, they serve fish, which she does not like. So she talked to the dietician and said, she hates fish, doesn't like fish, and she's not going to eat the fish and they arranged to serve the other things that she enjoys eating on days when they go meatless. She might get, instead of fish, a tuna salad or she might get mac and cheese or peanut butter and jelly. Something that she's going to like as opposed to something that she can't stand. I've had no complaints. Everybody is very responsive. If I call and want to talk to somebody to get right back to me, any requests that I've made, they've been responsive. Considering that it's very hard to get good staff and they're running on probably short-staffed through the COVID crisis, they're doing very well. The facility is very clean, very well maintained and they're on top of it every day. It's expensive, but I think good care is. How can you put a price on that? The care here is very good.

My Mom was resident at Maria Regina, suffering from Dementia. The staff was so caring & efficient in dealing with her needs until she passed 18 months later. Always the staff was compassionate & caring. Having her own room was wonderful as we were able to surround her with the things she loved.Our family was thrilled to have her last months in the care of the Maria Regina staff.

my father was a loving vibrant 85 yr old widower the 1st time in his life that he had any health issues. Within the next 2 years he went to Maria Regina for rehab 3 times. The care, the food & the people were excellent and dad loved the private room! He especially enjoyed the ability to go to mass every day and receive communion in his room if he did not feel up to attending mass in the chapel. Each time he had a health issue dad chose Maria Regina, each time his admission, his stay and his discharge were flawless. I had the opportunity to talk to many other families there and from the stories they told of other places, there is no better treatment or loving care anywhere else at any price. rehab therapy is given on a one to one basis or in group with the goal of getting people well and back home. maybe this site should allow for 6 stars! Maria Regina Residence and its staff certainly have earned it!

My Mom was in Maria Regina for several weeks. We were told Mom was ready to be discharged. My family fought that decision since mom was in kidney failure, congestive heart failure as well as liver shutting down. We were told that she was fine to go home. She was home 5 days before we had to rush her to the ER where she was admitted and placed on Palliative care and from there she went to comfort care at a nursing home. Mom passed away 2 days ago. Yet Maria Regina would not admit that she was not well enough to go home. The people in the positions to help the family were anything but helpful! In fact Mom had a very important doctor appointment for her kidneys and we had asked them to transport her in the ambulance since she could not get in the car and I was meeting her at the Doctor. The problem was, Maria Regina sent her to the wrong Doctor's office. I was so upset and to add insult to injury we paid $200 to the ambulance company and were not reimbursed. Maria Regina is beautiful, it is quiet and private rooms are great the nurses are lovely but the doctor is not the least bit interested in helping the patients and the discharge plans are atrocious.

My mother-in-law is at Maria Regina Residence. It has a very nice appearance, it's very clean, with very nice nursing staff, and very good food. She's very well taken care of. They have some arts, they have music, she has a book club, and she's very happy they have a chapel so she can attend daily mass.

I just got off the phone with admission to ask about their dementia unit and was told that it was full with no openings for up to a year. Which is fine, However, I can't believe how rude the representative was to me. She practically hung up the phone while I was in mid sentence. I don't know too much about the care but if this is how they treat people on the phone, I can't imagine how they would treat people they are suppose to be patient with. No excuse!!!!

I love Maria Regina and thought it would be perfect for my mother. It has a Catholic influence, and she is a very faithful person. They have a beautiful chapel and go to mass every day. There wasn't any availability; they don’t even take names for a waiting list.

My mom is currently at Maria Regina Residence. It is run by nuns of Saint Joseph. This was originally made for the nuns, the priests, and the clergy of the Catholic church. I think they are doing a very good job. It was a beautiful piece of property. They take care of the patients, but I think they could use more aides. The rooms are fantastic, and everybody shares a bathroom. They take residents out to the farm once in a while. They also have bingo, games, and crafts.

My mom was in Maria Regina. Their food was very good. The staff was very helpful. Her room was very clean, and it was like a semi-private room. It was a one-bedroom with a shared bathroom. They had a bunch of stuff, but my mother wasn't really able to go. They had music, classes, and other stuff. I believed the security was very good. There was always somebody at the door and a guard at the entrance. I think everything was run well there.

Mom had her rehab at Maria Regina for six months. It was very clean and well kept. The staff was pleasant and helpful. She had her physical therapy there. They actually had some recreational activities, but I don't really know what, and she wasn't really up to them. Her room was OK. She had a shared room. It was clean and adequate. The food didn't look that great, but she wasn't that picky and she didn't complain.
