My older sister has been at Elderwood for two years. The facility is outstanding. The staff is amazing. We feel we are so lucky and that my sister is so lucky. The building is very well-maintained. Every interaction with staff has been helpful. My sister enjoys bingo, crafts, and more. The building is across the street from a school, so the area is very lively.

I had visited Elderwood Assisted Living at Waverly about a year ago. It looked very welcoming and homey, and the rooms were nice sized. There were three different spots in their room where they had the service emergency call buttons if they had some kind of a problem. There's one by the toilet, one by the shower, and one by the bed, and I liked that. They have the dining room, the meals, and the activities. I liked it a lot, but with my mother's level of dementia, I don't really know if she could be in assisted living. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me when we did the tour, but I did not get to meet any of the aides or caretakers. They answered all the questions that my sister and I had. It's very clean, and it would be really easy to navigate through, even if the residents needed a walker.

My mother-in-law has moved into Elderwood. It is wonderful. We are pleased with its cleanliness. They provide three meals a day. The staff is very thorough, and we have been very pleased with them. They have activities for the residents where they take them out and do things with them. They take them shopping and go out for lunch sometimes. They play bingo, balloon volleyball, and do crafts. Also, somebody comes in one day a week and residents can get their hair done.

We chose Elderwood for my mother because she lives around the area, and the place is close to her siblings and my sisters. We had done several visits. They have a great staff and a great feedback method. It is really nice, clean, and homey, and she is allowed to decorate to a certain extent. There are people that check in on a regular basis. Both of my sisters tried the food, and it was good.

Elderwood Assisted Living at Waverly was very nice and clean, but they had elevators that would not be convenient for my mom. They didn’t have openings when we visited. Price-wise, it was competitive. The director was a very caring and nice individual, and showed us around the facility.

Elderwood was on two floors and there weren't any units available on the bottom floor at that time, so my mother would have a hard time during fire drills if she had to live in a unit on the second floor. The rooms seemed very nice and roomy. They have a kitchenette in the room, too. I think this place is for people who are quite mobile and can get around very well. The staff and residents seemed very friendly and helpful.

The facility was small but the quality of the service was excellent and the entire staff was familiar with all of the residents and their specific needs.
