Brookdale Liverpool was OK. There was nothing that stood out specifically. It wasn't the best of the four I toured. The sales rep was cordial and explained everything. The drawback was supplying your own furniture. Other than that, it was what we would expect. The rooms were kind of small, at least the ones that we were able to look at. The eating facility seemed to be OK. The residents seemed to be happy. Nobody was yelling or miserable or anything of that nature. A few we talked to said they liked it there.

Brookdale Liverpool was very, very nice. They had everything that I would want. You have to be buzzed in. You will not walk into any of them and that's a good thing. I could not find anything wrong with them. The few residents that I ran into were very nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff during the tour was so nice, very polite, professional, and fit the job. They're well taken care of.

My mom will be moving into the Brookdale Liverpool. Price-wise, it was very reasonable. The people there seemed very nice. We met some of the residents, and they were friendly. The place is a little dated. Overall, it's very nice. Some of the residents were at a cooking lesson, and some were kind of refurnishing some furniture. The cookies that the ladies made were very good. They stay busy and do things to stay active. They have an activity that switches all the time. They have a library there. They have different events.

I went to look at Brookdale Liverpool. The tour was good. They were very nice and informative. The place was really clean. You could tell it was an older building but looks like it was pretty well kept up. I saw the studio. It was small but clean. So I don't think my mother, where she's at right now, would want to move to that studio. It'd be way too tiny. They had bigger rooms, which were better, but they cost more money. They showed us where they serve food, where people can sit, do games, and watch TV. The location is fine, convenient to the area, and easy to get to. The staff members were good and nice. The facility seemed a little dated.

I toured Brookdale Liverpool. We went up to the one at the window, because it's on a single floor, and he opened up the window for us. We could see inside what the rooms were like, but we did not get to see the entire facility. It looks wonderful it really looks very inviting and comfortable. The man who took us through his name was Nate. Since our tour with Nate, they got another facilitator, and his name was Brian, but Brian has been in touch with me too. The room that Nate showed us was already furnished, because the woman who had the room was moving out, but she's still had her furnished furniture there, and it was small but it was very cozy. I think that it would probably be a good place for a single person, and they would afford enough room for them to have their furniture and be comfortable.
The facility from the outside was very inviting, and Nate was extremely helpful. We sat with him in the gazeebo outside for probably over an hour, and he was in-depth as far as describing what they would offer there at Brookdale, how they would care for their clients and he was especially wonderful.
We didn't go inside the facility at all. Because we couldn't go inside, I would rate them a 4.5 but I also need to mention that they have been very good about keeping up correspondence with me and from what we saw of the facility and from the conference we had with Nate, I was very, very pleased. I was very impressed with them as well.

My tour of Brookdale Liverpool was fantastic. The amenities were nice. The dining area was open with individual tables, pretty much like a restaurant. It was clean, tidy, bright, and airy. They have adequate accommodations. The grounds were very well manicured.

my father has been at Brookdale ,Liverpool for one year. we had the choice of a few places when placing my dad, and the staff at Brookdale won us (including my dad) over. when we are visiting we notice personalized attention is provided to each resident. i would recommend this assisted living facility to anyone.

Everybody at Brookdale Liverpool was very nice. It was very clean and the rooms were spacious. They had cooks in there. They're very welcoming. I would like to put my mother there, but it's all self-pay, and we can't afford it. It's gorgeous. They have Bingo, exercises, arts and crafts, happy hour, and birthday bashes. If they had Medicaid rooms there, we would've put her in one. Everything was clean and maintained. I talked to the lady that puts people in there, the nurses, the girls in the kitchen, and the activities manager. Everybody was awesome.

I was impressed with the kindness of the staff and the excellent appearance of the facilities. The comforting home-style atmosphere is preserved by outstanding maintenance and upkeep. The dining services are delightful. The daily assistance and support is comforting.

Building is falling apart. Constant sewege issues, along with plants growing out of the gutters on the roof. Paint on carpets, messy paint jobs in rooms overall poor quality work building wise. They treat the staff terrible, I would never let a family member stay there.

Brookdale Liverpool (formerly Emeritus at West Side Manor) was fine, but it wasn't as engaging as the other place I visited. They weren't that personable, so it felt more or less like a business. It's like going to a McDonald's or WalMart. The room I saw was smaller, which I didn't like.

We have chosen Brookdale for my sister. It is very nice, and she is happy. The staff is very nice and very helpful. There are plenty of activities. She does bingo and goes on field trips. The dining area is very nice and clean.

When my mother first went to this facility, it was Westside Manor. It was an excellent place for her to reside. It was like a home away from home. Everyone was happy and had a positive attitude. The food was excellent food and there were a lot of choices. Since Brookdale bought Westside Manor out, attitudes have changed, employees leaving, cut in staff and hours. Quality of food and choices have declined. Large rent increases. I hope there is enough staff to handle residents in an emergency. I am so disappointed, I don't want to put my mother through another move at her age of 88. This whole place is turned into dollar signs, and has forgot the "Caring"!!

The people were very nice at Brookdale, but it was an old facility. It looked like there were more infirmed people, but they were very nice. The rooms were small; they seemed dark to me, and I was turned off by the metal closet doors. However, the staff was very nice.

Our experience with Brookdale Liverpool (Formerly Emeritus at West Side Manor) has been wonderful from day 1. The staff most the time is accommodating with anything that I've needed continuously right up to today. There are one-bedroom studio efficiencies, which you furnish yourself. They do supply some furnishings, but certain things that you may want to bring in from your own home, you're more than welcome to do. It's been a smooth transition for my mother so far. They have activities all day long, exercise, games, classes, movie times, bingo, Plinko, and other things that they play everyday. Being summer, they do have some outdoor activities. Once a month, they have a family and resident get-together, and I've experienced one of those already. You get to meet the other residents that your loved ones are there with. She is absolutely happy. She has met some of the ladies, they all clicked, and they all seemed to enjoy one another's company, which is most refreshing to me because my mother is in her later years. I've yet to find anything that's hasn't met my needs. They have three square meals a day and housekeeping, and there are certain days of the week that they do laundry for the residents. I was pleasantly surprised.

Brookdale Liverpool (Formerly Emeritus at West Side Manor) would've been really convenient because it's right in the area where I live. They offered meal preparation and the assistance, especially that my mother needs a lot of memory care and help with medications. It was very impressive. I liked it a lot.

They were very warm and very responsive. I enjoyed my visit very much. I thought Brookdale Liverpool (Formerly Emeritus at West Side Manor) would be a wonderful place for my mother to be. The room that I saw looked fine. My mom is in an entire apartment right now, and of course this would seem way too small for her, but they seemed fine to me. We saw the calendar of activities and watched them. They were playing bingo, there were people outside in the gazebo enjoying, and the activities that she would be involved in there are very similar to the ones she is involved at in the independent facility where she is right now, and that pleased me a lot.

We're a little bit disappointed with the staff. They knew that my mother was not really ambulatory when she went in there. She is on 24-hour oxygen, and she needs help to be transported to meals and to activities. We struggled to get her to activities; I don't think she has been to one, and she has been there for two months. I usually go over at least one meal and transport her myself. They're friendly, but they're not giving my mother the help that we thought that she was going to get. They led us to believe that she was going to be just fine.
We have had about three meals there, which were OK. They give him a good balanced diet. They do have activities, some music and some elementary children come in and do some things with the senior citizens. She has a private room, which is enough for a twin bed, a recliner, a small table, and two dressers, but too small to accommodate wheelchairs. We can't even get a normal sized wheelchair in the bathroom. They should've taken into consideration the width of wheelchairs in getting them inside the doors. On weekends, they lack staff because they let the people take the weekend off.

My sister is living at Emeritus at West Side Manor now. She has got a bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom. She pretty much stays in her room, but I know they have a lot of activities there. They have exercise, therapy, and reading sessions. Their food is very good. The location is good because it is convenient for us.

My mom moved in at Emeritus in the fall of 2013. We were comfortable with the layout and with the price, and they made a very good impression. In general, her experience there has been positive. The food is satisfactory. As a matter of fact, food has improved since she has been there. The highlight of this place is that the staff is very responsive. Everyone is friendly and supportive. Everyone listens and they do what they can. However, there are times that it appears as though they are pretty short-staffed. However, my mom is very pleased with the action and interaction with staff members. One thing my mom would love to see though would be more activity choices. Bingo and trivia get old fast. However, they have hired an assistant, somebody who is there to pick up some of the activity responsibilities when the director is out on field trips with some of the residents. Overall, I would say my mother was pretty satisfied with their activities though it feels like there could be some more enriching activities to look forward to during the day.
Her room is a private room. It is small but it is perfect size for her. She has her own bathroom, so it seems fine. Living environment is fine. There seems to be plenty of room for large group as well as small group activities. The dining room seems to be very spacious. The actual physical layout of the building seems to be fine.

The staff at Emeritus at West Side Manor is phenomenal. They are excellent. We met all the people. The recreation person and the person who runs the show are both wonderful. I have nothing but good to say. They answered all our questions on the spot. My mother-in-law moved in there in March, and it has been wonderful. They have things every day, like exercise programs and games. They bring them to doctor's appointments. The other thing we like is that they have assembly night once a month where we go in and eat with everybody, which is nice. The food is fantastic, and it's a big plus. They have their main course; they have choices, and stuff for people who have special dietary needs. It is really just like your own home. So, you can come in and out any time. I highly recommend them. I can tell you right now, if you can get in there, you are darn lucky because you are going to love it.

Emeritus at West Side Manor is only about twenty minutes from our house. Everybody there is so nice. Everybody talks, and the rooms are very nice. My husband's great aunt likes it there. The dining table always has a tablecloth and everything. They have different activities to do and different exercises. Once a month they have what they call family night, and my husband and I go there every time, and it is free. They have some entertainment, and it is really, really nice. She is very happy there. They have Bingo all the time, charades, and then they all have their morning exercises and watching TV. It is just really pleasant there. They have different things going on all the time. The rooms and everything are spotless. They take and wash the clothes, and the food is excellent. Everything is really good there.

My son-in-law's father is at Emeritus at West Side Manor. The admissions people were very gracious. They presented a lot of information, answered any questions we had, showed us the room, and introduced us to some of the staff and the residents, so it was a very easy process. From what I hear, my son-in-law's father is enjoying the stay. The staff is very caring and supportive. Also he said the meals are great. The activity schedule is a full one, and he is enjoying that, too. He has made some new friends. Everything seems to be going quite well. The rooms are comfortable, and he is allowed to do a certain amount of personalization of the area. It seems to meet his needs quite well. I would definitely recommend them.

The location of Emeritus at West Side Manor is convenient for us because it's close and we get to see her easily. The facility is very nice and pleasant. The staff seemed very enthusiastic and very helpful and so far so good, but she has only been there three weeks. She has a room and it is very nicely done. It’s very clean, carpeted, private bath, large closet, enough room for a single bed, a dresser, side table, and a chair. They have a lot going on. They do bingo, music, movie nights, and wine nights. They also go to trips out to shopping and to church. They also offer transportation to medical appointments. They provide three meals a day although they don’t have choices but their menu is good.

My husband and I visited Emeritus at West Side Manor. The place was beautiful and I love it. We got a room for mom there and we even signed the contract. They repainted the room. They put new carpeting, a new heating, and a new air conditioning unit in the room, but unfortunately mom was not able to set foot in there because she died. The staff there was wonderful. I've eaten there and the food was very good.

My mom went from rehab and moved here in Emeritus at West Side Manor. It is a little change for her, but she is acclimating there right now. Everything is very clean and everybody is friendly. The staff also is very helpful and they answer all of your questions. Emeritus is a better fit for my mom; however, they could improve on their quickness in responding to the call button.

Emeritus is very homey and it has a lot to offer as far as activities. It is relatively close to my home and I have a very spacious room. After having been here for two years, the food is pretty bad. I like the staff and the residents; they're wonderful people. We have multiple activities which are enjoyable and we take field trips on a bus. I am very happy here and when I move it's going to be very hard.

My mom was at Emeritus at West Side Manor. We chose it because it was close to home and there were a lot of advantages that we thought were essential. The place was very nice, clean and well-staffed. They had a lot of activities and she had her own private room.
