Mom is in the end stage of dementia, she has lost all language and is in pain. They refuse to hear us when we tell them. They refuse to help her because they say she isn’t. In the process of trying to go over their heads. 40 Residents, 1 RN, 1Lpn, 4 aides. State guidelines met, patient care failed. Sad you must be a 24 -7 advocate for your parent. I was but now have to work. My mom is suffering. No teeth, modified chopped and they provide a turkey burger and tater tots for lunch . I asked for soup ! Wheelchair never cleaned unless I do. Was away came back soaking wet white mold growing underpad. Now every time I go I dismantle and clean the chair.
