Excellent facility they took extraordinary of my uncle. The staff was friendly and caring. They make their patients a top priority especially through COVID rules and regulations. My uncle felt like he was well cared for and staff was always attentive to his needs. The doctors, nurses, therapists and even the security guards were always willing to help and make his stay as comfortable as possible. He looked forward to seeing his therapists every day which helped him recovery quickly and bounce back on his feet. Highly Recommend!

Sheepshead Bay did not have a dementia floor, which was a fault because I am looking for something for dementia. They did have a good ratio of staff to patient, it was a very clean and well-kept facility, and it was secure. They handle mostly wheelchair patients, so they did not have too many ambulatory patients, and that was not a good thing for us because my sister doesn’t use the wheelchair. The place was very nice, very clean, and very well-staffed, but it was more really nursing and rehab. It is not a place where somebody with dementia could live because there weren’t too many activities. They did not have activities that would be conducive to my sister’s life. It was a very good home but not for what we needed. I wished that they had a dementia floor.

Sheepshead Bay Nursing Home & Rehabilitation offers a wide variety of care, however I am only reviewing the rehabilitation section in which I visited. The rehab portion has its own wing, which is rare. Normally short term rehab stays aren't pleasant because although your injury may require minor therapy, you may share a room with someone who requires major care. This can make your stay difficult. In Sheepshead Bay Rehabilitation your room looks more like a bedroom, not a hospital room. Not only does it make the patient comfortable, but it also makes the visitors comfortable. It doesn't have that hospital feel. I got to speak to one of the therapists there, and he said he worked in many places, but not one place had rooms like that. He seemed very well-rounded, and definitely knew his stuff. Although he was sweet and personable, he was tough with his care. I was very impressed with how fast my loved one recovered , and I contribute that mainly to the care she received while receiving physical therapy there. I would reccomend the Rehabilitation Center for all physical needs.
