I toured Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers for myself. Everyone there was very nice. I was just a little disappointed with the closet space and the 1-bedroom apartment was a little too small for me. Relative to other independent living situations, it's probably one of the better ones. But to me, I didn't like the architecture of the particular apartment that they were offering me. I was disappointed with the machines they had available at the gym. I felt it wasn't thought out very well. I was also disappointed with the library, it didn't look enough like a library to me. But the layout of the whole facility was fine. When I was there, none of the residents were around and that was disappointing. I would have liked to see more community activities, although it might have been because of the particular time I was in, which was early in the afternoon. I did not try the food when I went there for the tour, but they sent me home with a delicious piece of apple pie.

I toured Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers. They were very nice. It was beautiful. I loved the outdoor garden where you can walk, that was lovely. It was very, very clean. I liked their gym. I liked it for my mother. I think it was larger, and my gut feeling was I thought she would like the other facility better because it was smaller. It was more like a high-rise building and the other facility was more like the apartment building she was used to. Those were the main things. It was larger with more residents, and my mom is very shy, so I thought she would do better with a smaller place. The staff was very nice. The follow-up was very good. I know they want the business, but they were very nice and not pushy. It was good follow-through, and it's a beautiful location, too. It looked very well-maintained and very elegant. The few rooms that I saw looked well-maintained. Another thing was that they had stoves, like more of a full kitchen, and at the other facility, they do not have. So, for safety, I thought the other facility was safer in that regard without having this stove in the room.

My aunt is at Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers. It is a lovely place, and it looks like a hotel. It's very clean and beautiful. The rooms are very nice. She has a 1-bedroom apartment there, which is more than adequate. The building is kept very well. They have nice activities, but of course now everything is suspended. She is very happy there. I have eaten there, and it was very good. They have Bridge, weekly cocktail parties, lectures, and movies. They have a salon, a library, and a nice auditorium where they can sit and view either a movie or go to a lecture. They have a beautiful outdoor garden where you can sit. We would stay there if we had enough money.

I am in Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers. It is quite a nice place. It is overlooking the Hudson River. They provide everything basic that the senior resident needs. There are so many activities. They go shopping. They have painting and picture taking. The food is good. The dining area is clean and nice.

Five Star Premier Residences was good. The tour was great. The rooms were nice depending what you could pay and what you wanted. The dining area was very clean and nice. The amenities seemed good. The surrounding was very nice. They had activities. They had transportation to medical services. They would take you to the supermarket and church. It was a very good place. I like the cleanliness, and the management was very pleasant.

I have visited Five Star Premier Residences for my wife. It did not require any kind of a buy-in. It was essentially a rental, but it had all the conveniences of an independent living community. For example, it had two meals a day, weekly housecleaning, linens weekly, lots of activities within and transportation to take you to various places or within the area. A couple of apartments looked nice.

Five Star Premier Residences is a nice place. It’s clean, and it’s well kept. There are activities for you to do. The rooms are OK, but they’re a little small. It’s a full apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, and a foyer. There is not a lot of space, so you can’t have a lot of things. There are 2 closets, but they’re kind of small.

My mother has been living there for 4 years when it was owned by Hyatt. At first she loved it. Now that it has been taken over by Five Star, the food is more limited and not as good, mice and roaches have been seen, heating has been spotty, and management has been unresponsive.

One, if not the best facilities I've ever seen in the city of New York. It feels as if you are inside an upscale hotel or condotel unit. The people are very friendly and helpful to everybody. The meals are delicious and five star restaurant quality. The medical support are exceptional including the aides and other staff.
