My Mom was resident at Kings Harbor for only two weeks. Hoping she would return back home but instead she got sick and was hospitalized. When she got home a few days later she’s became very ill and was put on hospice at home. I don’t know what happened while she was in there care. She passed away 3 weeks from being discharged from the hospital. She was always in good health and love to eat. She had dementia but and was very alert on her daily routine with her home attends. I don’t recommend anyone to put there love one into facility.

My mother moved into Kings Harbor Multicare Center because her sister is there; they're roommates. The room is fine. They have a calendar of activities. The only negative I can say is that during the weekends they put everybody outside up against the wall in their chairs. If my aunt wasn't there that would not be my choice. The staff is very attentive and knows their patients, the food looks fine, it's definitely well-balanced, and has big portions.

My mom was at Kings Harbor Multicare Center for rehab, and she was afraid of being there. I didn't like it. We had weekly meetings, but I feel that they're getting kick-backs. I think they felt more that she was a problem than a patient. I think it was more like a hospital than a rehab facility. Mom said the food was horrible.

This place is the worst! I should have listened when I was told not to put my love one in there. Totally mistreated, they let him starve, never gave him water, he was severly dehydrated due to the lack of eating. They would not feed him when they knew he had problem feeding himself. They did not like him because he spoke his mind and he was able to communicate. They just left him b alone for hours sitting in the hallway when everu one else was in bed. Run frim this place or suffer.

I had a horrific experience at Kings Harbor Multicare Center. I was over medicated, and severely overdosed. The nurse on call that night wasn't experienced enough to help me at all. There's no Dr. in the entire building. They have a nurse on call, but does not come over there to help you either. They have security, but only for burglaries or a resident trying to leave "good idea"!! I basically had to make my own reovery from all the symptoms of an overdose. Nausea, vomiting, rapid eye movement, light headed etc. The nurses that are administering the medication are inexperienced, and do not pay attention to what a patient should be given. The same incident ocurred the following night, had I not been careful to check the medication before taking it. The next day every "supervisor, director, and manager was in my room pretending to be concerned about the incident, but all they wanted was that insurance money. I was even given a survey, yes a survey about my stay at the nursing home...they could care less!! I want you to imagine how many of the residents are given the wrong medication or dosage on a daily basis due to negligence. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!

Catch 22

I would have to agree this is not the place for many because it does not seem stimulating at all. There doesn't seem to be a lot of recreational activities and the do charge the residents to play bingo. My loved really wants to get out of this place, but I really don't have any other options at this time. It's sad, but based on my loved one's history it is safe and I can sleep at night. If you have other option, I strongly encourage you to take at advantage of them. This is the last place not first place to put a loved one. I will give them credit for immediately providing up-to-date information for every occurence. You don't have ever show up and here something significant from your loved one, for the first time. This is a plus!

Was hoping this would be a nice place for my loved one. Not the case--nursing home is a sterile environment that doesn't resemble a "home" in any way. My loved one seems to have had the life sucked out of her and seems depressed. She tell us she wishes she could pass away--that's what this place has done to her. Congratulations Kings Harbor and to my relatives who put her there for making her spend the last of her days in agony.
