I took some family members with me and my mom to see Bishop's Commons at St. Luke. The lady who took us around was very, very friendly. She's very informative and told us to call at any time if we got any questions. The residents seemed happy. Everyone was very friendly, even the nurses you see walking in the hall. I saw a lot of things going on and people in different areas. There's a separate kitchen off to the side where they have snacks during the day. Others were sitting there reading, knitting, and doing puzzles. The rooms were very nice. You had your choice of an efficiency or one-bedroom. They were a good size. They got big windows, so there's a lot of light to shine in. They're allowed to bring their furnishings, which is a nice touch. The dining area was very, very pleasant and set up like a fancy hotel dining room. There's a fireplace and a chandelier. It's got a very friendly atmosphere. It's bright with nice views and they could have a daily special or they could order what they want. They have a special dining room for families if you want to have a family get-together. The lady that did the tour sat down with us, answered our questions, and had lunch with us. The food was awesome. They also had a piano and somebody was playing it. I thought it was very nice and relaxing.

My mom moved into Bishop's Commons at St. Luke. It's a clean facility. The rooms are pretty decent in size. All the people are nice as far as the staff wise. She's got an apartment, and she's got 24-hour available care. The staff was friendly, courteous, and nice. They seem to be available whenever you need them. The food is decent. They do arts, crafts, games, and stuff like that. They go to the dining hall, and they get around on their own. But if they need help, that's what the people are there for. They have the nurses and staff there to help out.
