My father lived in Atria for two years during Covid. The staff did an incredible job with a very tough client - really above and beyond. They also had an astounding success rate for containing Covid - at an assisted living facility in New York City!!!! My father improved immensely and is now living independently again. It's expensive, but truly the best of the best.

I am fairly new to Atria West 86th and has been living here for 2 months now. It has been absolutely positive. The staff are caring and helpful. They are available to help as needed. I am receiving ADLs support with bathing and dressing, which I need help with. In regards to socialization activities, they have plenty of activities to do. In fact, there's too much. I'm busy with my day and the activities keeps me active. The facility brings me joy that I transitioned from respite stay to permanent.

I've decided to move into Atria West 86th for the support and medical attention that I needed. I have been residing in the community for almost a year now and my experiences has been amazing thus far. I made the right decision to come here not only for daily support with my ADLs but also to socialize with others. I felt isolated living alone before, but now I have made friends with my fellow residents. The socialization activities has been wonderful. This is a great place to live.

I have been residing at Atria West 86th for nearly 10 years. My experiences has been ups and down, but overall the facility has been good to me. The socialization activities has given me purpose and joy. I love living here.

I am a new resident of Atria West 86th. My husband and I moved into the community on August 16, 2022 from Michigan. The move was a huge transition for my husband and I. Part of the decision to move to this community is to be near my daughter. We are still acclimating to the routine and appreciate the care and support that we are receiving. The quality of the food is great. Most importantly, the staff are wonderful. We benefit from services including the socialization activities in-house as well as the outings. Overall, we like it here as our new home.

We went to Atria West 86. The staff was fantastic, they were attentive, and it seemed like a vibrant community in terms of activities going on. The patio was very nice. It had beautiful views. The apartments that were available for what we could maybe afford, I just didn't find them very nice. The basic studio apartment was dark without a lot of light.

The place was immaculate; the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. I was offered a meal but couldn't take advantage of it at the time so I can't comment on the food. I thought the craft activities were a little mundane. I personally do not eat 3 meals a day but 3 are included in the monthly fee so I would like more of a choice of how some of my money is spent. So far, of the places I've toured, the Atria comes out on top.

Atria West 86 was gorgeous, but it was too nice, and the residents were too perky. I didn't feel like my mother would fit in. It's not a great place for assisted living because it's over 20 stories high, so when the residents take the elevator up to their own apartments, they're 10 or 20 floors away from people. You're in your own private apartment, and that feels very secluded. The dining rooms were gorgeous. They had a full schedule of classes and trips. Because it's in New York City it takes advantage of a lot of things that New York has to offer. For example, cultural things come in for them. The staff member was lovely, eager to answer our questions, and very personable. The apartments were beautiful, but not appropriate for our needs.

Atria was very nice. The rooms were not dated. Some rooms were furnished, so you could see the possibility there. The staff was very nice. We had lunch there, and the meal was nice. There were lots of upcharges, so that was a bit of a concern. It's quite expensive, and it's also self-pay. However, it seemed that they have an active calendar. They have a salon, a beautiful view on a deck upstairs, physical therapy on-site, and an activity room. The building was very nice.

My aunt is in Atria. It's a wonderful place. They really work with you, try to help you work it out, and stay on top of everything. She lives in a studio apartment with everything she needs, and I've added stuff to it. There's a basic service, and then there are add-ons that you pay, but you can change what service you want. I really liked the people. They're really nice, and I have nothing bad to say about them.

I visited Atria West, and I thought it was very well equipped. I thought that it seems to be well-organized and well-run. They have complete services. Overall, I thought it was very expensive. They had all kinds of trips, speakers that came in, musical guests that come in, and arts and crafts. They have a full range of activities. They have complete meal service and three restaurants. The staff was very informative and great. They have full services, visiting doctors that come to the facility for appointments, and basic general medical care they provide.

Atria was excellent, attractive, and had a good location right in the middle of the city. The rooms were good and the dining area was attractive. The staff gave us a good tour.

So dark and depressing. Tiny elevators; crowded public areas. One resident stopped using the bathroom and the management took two weeks to get the situation under control while the smell of urine filled the hallway. There is ONE nice thing: a first-floor coffee shop run by an extremely nice man.

Atria West 86 was a very luxurious place, and it was beautifully appointed. The apartments were clean, and I was impressed by it. It had a lovely view of the skyline on the terrace. They have lots of activities and trips. Everyone there seemed very active, and most of the residents were in very good physical condition. We ate in the lovely dining room -- which was one of the 3 restaurants -- and the food was excellent. My friends and I were very much impressed with the cooking.

I stayed in Atria West 86. The rooms and apartments are good. The dining room is wonderful and elegant. They have arts, theater, trips, and a full calendar. It was splendid. It even had an exercise room and therapy.

My mother is in Atria West 86, and we're very pleased with it. We've eaten there a few times, and the food has been excellent. The surroundings are beautiful. It's on the west side of Manhattan off the river, and it's really very nice. They have a tremendous number of activities. They take the residents to different places in Manhattan like museums, shows, and different types of activities. They also have cars that are available for the residents to sign up for to take on excursions, shopping, and to stores. The staff has been fabulous, and the service has been excellent. I would absolutely recommend them.

My wife is at Atria West 86. We chose them because they were the only one available that could take my wife on a short notice. They provide every imaginable service that somebody would want. They are very, very good. The only downside is it is $10,000 a month.

Atria West 86 (senior assisted living facility) located at 333 West 86th St., NYC is an overpriced and overcrowded dump. Expect to be greatly overcharged on the monthly rent and all other services. The food is sub-standard and institutional grade. There is no cooking done on the premises, only the reheating of frozen foods. The building is infested with mice and water bugs. There are frequent breaks of water pipes and flooding of the residents apartments. The small elevators cannot handle the amount of residents with wheelchairs and walkers. It is typical to wait for an elevator over 30 minutes during meal times. The place is a fire trap. There has been several past fires in the building. The small stairwells are not sufficient to handle the amount of people living there in the event of an emergency. I don't know why the NYC Fire Department and Building department hasn't closed the place down.

Atria West 86 is beautiful. They had a coffee room that was open all the time. They served some coffee like a little café. I couldn't go there anyway because they said you have to be ambulatory. It is also extremely expensive. I liked their rooms. These were old hotels, so it was entirely different. It was very nice as well. They brought me up to the roof. They have a roof deck that has a beautiful view. They showed me everything like the hair salon. I went in a Sunday afternoon so there wasn't much going on, but they did show me their room where they show movies.

My father is in the Atria. The location is good. It’s not too large. I like that it’s very well maintained. They have a lot of services for my dad and activities to keep him busy and stimulated. The rooms are really nice. The staff are very personable, reaching out, very engaging with my father, and professional but very nice. They’re very accessible by phone. Anytime I call them, there’s always somebody who answers the phone, and they’re very prompt to meet his needs.

I thought Atria West was the most comprehensive in terms of food choices and amenities, but it was very busy. It could have been busy at that time because we went there at lunch time and also the one or two of their elevators were under repair. Again, they had great menus and food choices. However, their studio apartments weren't spacious enough. Also I think it is the most expensive place I visited, but they did offer a lot in terms of amenities. And it was extremely clean. At that time, I liked the presentation. The staff showed me a lot, and she answered my questions. In terms of the tour, it was one of the better tours.

Atria West 86 was very nice. Yes, they had activities and there was a recreational area. I think their rooms were nicer. It was newer and fresher. They have nice staff who are very accommodating. The place was very clean.

My mother-in-law is at Atria West 86. They maintain the place very nicely, and it's very clean. The rooms were nice. She loves the food, and she is happy with that. I think the staff are friendly and respectful, although I don’t know much about them. Some things they are good at, and there are things that they are not good at. At the time when we were moving in, there was a lot of miscommunication going on with the staff.

Atria West 86 is in a very nice area. The building itself is a nice building, but the rooms are very small. For a one-bedroom apartment with two people occupying it, it's $11,000 a month, which is kind of high. They offer activities, but they don’t have outdoor activities, which is expected in the area. Although the nice part of that is they are very close to Riverside Park, which is a lovely park.

The rooms are tiny, and the elevators were small and inadequate. Those are two things I didn't like about Atria, and you have to walk to your table at meals. The sanitation is good.

I had a very interesting visit at Atria West 86. It's a first class facility and very attractive. The place was nice and the staff were fine. The rooms are very nice. I haven’t tasted the food but it looked good. The menu looked good too. What I like best is that they have a sophisticated program and the facility is located in Manhattan.

I liked Atria West 86 a lot. It's really a very nice facility. It's probably the most expensive of all the places I've seen, but I liked it a great deal. The place seems very well appointed. I was only in there for about an hour, but I saw that the staff were perfectly nice.

I visited Atrial West 86 and liked it because they go to Broadway shows and it seems they take full advantage of all the entertainment in the place, but I found them too expensive.

I went there for dinner and I saw that Atria West was very nice. The staff were also nice although I didn't like the residents too much. I sat down to play the piano after dinner and some people that were watching television asked me to stop playing and I didn't like that.

Ask staff how many residents they have lost ...travelling the streets of nyc ...one ended up drowning in the river
nycityboy
The staff there is very courteous and professional. They are very patient, even though grandma told the same stories over and over. They also have a respiratory therapist on staff which is great since most of the residents have breathing problems. He took the time to teach everyone how to use herbreathing machine. We first discovered Atria Senior Living a few years ago when Grandma had hip surgery and needed help while recovering. She is very independent minded and didn't want to be a burden on anyone. It was nice for her to have someone cook and clean for her for a change ! Speaking of clean the facilities are absolute spotless. We shopped around quite a bit, and I CAN TELL you most of the assisted living facilities in the area were filthy. Its hard to trust strangers to help take care of a loved one. Choosing Atria Senior Living was a great decision for grandma's live in care provider. The staff really put us at ease, and even scheduled an in home consultation interview. It was an opportunity for everyone to ask any questions they have, and they were able to access what level of care Grandma required. Grandma's caregivers have been excellent. They are very well trained, and very even tempered and relaxed. They also were very accommodating to grandmas changing needs. Even though 24 hour Homecare is very expensive, I know they are very competitively priced. My grandma spent her last days at a nice facility, staffed by caring professionals. I would highly recommend Atria Senior Living to everyone.
