My mom was in rehab at St Josephs Place for a few weeks. They were helpful. I thought they were good and tried to stay on top of things. My mom shared a room with another person. The room is one of our problems. The roommate was lovely. She had the window side, and my mom had the inside bed. It was very squished. She sat in a chair in the corner which was very depressing. It was a nursing home and rehab. They had the patients mixed together, so my mom was in with a lady who was a permanent resident of the nursing home. I think they should separate them. The lady was lovely, but she couldn't hear, and my mother couldn't hear, so they couldn't converse. They both have hearing problems. The curtain was always closed over because the other person was 101 years old, and she slept most of the day. The curtain is always drawn, and my mother was in the dark corner of the room, so it was very depressing. They had bingo, and they have some crafty things. They have some activities for her to go to, but my mother is the uncooperative one. She didn’t want to do to anything. They have a dining room which was kind of dreary. They have a lot of patients who were definitely nursing home patients sitting in wheelchairs who were kind of out of it. My mom's brain is very intact, so she had a lot of problems there. The place was depressing to be in, but they did take good care of her.
