Do not bring your loved ones here. Depressing, dirty, food is horrible. Attention by staff is very poor, except for Patrick. I got a call at 9:30 at night informing me my loved one had passed. When I got there he was laying in his own filth. I will always live with the guilt of letting him be brought here. They're all about the $$, and could care less about the individual.

TERRIBLE Place, HORRIBLE food. They hardly have CNAs to help residents, you'd be in bed for days without anyone coming to get you ready & up for the day. Staff are disinterested, widespread neglect.NOBODY should put their loved ones here. No activities for residents to enjoy, nor amenities.

I can not in good conscience give this facility a higher rating than 1. If I could give a zero I would. From the upfront fee of $25000 to even be admitted to the gross neglect and lack of care for my husband...our experience was horrible. Upon discharge, I was not given extra meds (many worth $$$ on open market-you decided why) and not told when to give meds until I asked. Call bell went unanswered on regular basis. VERY understaffed. Please do NOT send your loved one to this facility.

Stay away. What a horrible experience. This facility is absolutely depressing. Personal items went missing beginning on the 1st day ($ and then other items including cell phone.) TV service is horrible with very limited channels from which to choose. Staff would call family frequently at all Hours of the night but would not leave voice messages with any detail (most messages less than 10 seconds long.) And found out that staff have a social media problem, posting photos of residents with vulgar comments without consent or knowledge. Did not advise there were COVID-19 cases nor did they advise of positive testing of my loved one (found out from the hospital.) Do your loved ones a favor and stay away.

The building itself was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and very approachable. If you have a question or a concern, they are right there to help you. All of the employees that walk around smile and say hello. Very friendly atmosphere. The administrator has an open door policy. The new dining room is beautiful and the food smells and looks so appetizing. Everyone there is very helpful. The patio is so pretty and so inviting to sit out there. Each room has a flat screen tv and is bright and airy. The residents seem happy, one was even singing. It was so sweet to see and hear. The activities seem fun, Bingo is a real big hit. They even have wifi for the residents. I really like Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center.

New dining area, just like a restaurant, pretty chinaware and decorations. Great rehab staff and involved, hands-on administrative staff. Country atmosphere with beautiful patio, nursing staff smile and greet you.

My father is currently a patient at this facility. We have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and the care he is receiving. The nurses, aids and PT personnel are truly caring and concerned about the welfare of their patients. The facility is very clean and since it's a smaller place, he seems to be receiving more personal attention than he would at some of the larger facilities. It's not an easy situation for families to be in, but we have been very pleased with the level of care he is receiving. We visit a lot and check on things, but other than pretty bad TV reception, we have no complaints.

Recently I have had my father at this facility, I have been in many other facilities and find that Campbell hall has kind and caring nursing staff, they were always there when my father needed them. He would always brag about how well the nursing staff treated him. He would say what a great job the rehab department did getting him to walk again after his accident. That they were always friendly and greeted him with a smile. In my fathers words he stated that he had a great stay and the food was great. My father was very happy with his stay at Campbell hall and I am very pleased that I was able to go home not worrying about my father and his care

My husband has been a patient here for care and rehab from a fall August 8th. His care has been real good. All the workers: from the highest in office, social worker, supervisors, nurses, aids, physical therapist, (I hope I haven't missed anyone) have been taking such good care of him. My family is well pleased also. My husband is still here. If either one of us has to come here in the future we wouldn't hesitate to come here. We want to thank them again for their serving that they do.

New kitchen and food services is really great, the remodeling of the building is making such a difference! Residents who have been here before and left after successfully rehabilitating, seek to come back when they have new rehab needs. Loyal rehab staff, compassionate administrator and active resident council are just a few of the reasons to use this facility for short term or long term needs.

Since the kitchen re-opened the meals are just great; Mr. A has told me that the therapy staff are terrific, the food is just like home cooked and he is looking forward to finishing up his rehab and returning to his home and his life. He has been in the facility for about a month and has had a very positive rehab experience. He gives this facility 5 stars.

My Aunt was in a horrible car accident, and severely debilitated, only by the grace of god, and her stay at Campbell Hall has she recovered to be able to walk again, and be discharged back to home after an 8 month plus stay on Campbell Hall's Rehab Unit. She raved about the therapy staff, and her unit. She loved the staff, and most of the meals, as she was an extraordinary home cook, but she thrived and survived and that is what matters, they met her every need, and helped her through a horrific time in her life. I am forever grateful and thankful to all at Campbell hall, her room was nice and accommodating with a huge flat screen T.V. private bathroom, well lit, and decorated. She truly misses everyone there and wants to give praise to Campbell Hall for her recovery and the assistance she received mentally and physically.. Her loving niece... Thank you..

My Brother-in-law is in here & they are great! I looked at 3 nursing homes in Middletown & 1 in Montgomery & I didn't like what I saw. The nurses & CNAs are caring & he's doing great in therapy.

Some staff are unpleasant and seem to just be there for the job, but most of the CNA's and a lot of the nurses are good hearted and kind. The Administrator is very approachable and Nurse Administration seem to know the residents, which is always a good sign. Even the reception staff are obviously very caring about the residents. I've been in a few nursing homes, and see good things in this one.

Every time I walk in , she's propped in a corner, crying. Told to use diaper because they're too understaffed to take her to bathroom. Terrible urinary infection developed there. Also, any lay person knows signs of yeast infection. She begged for cream-they gave her diaper rash cream. Watched impatient staff interact with patients (who granted-some are nasty old folks.) They don't make sure patients eat. My loved one became afraid to eat because of pain afterward. Single slice of ham on stale bread, lukewarm water for tea, and a package of peaches. Overtime I've asked staff for something....not a big demand, but something like tea, I get a "yes" but it never comes. Her hair was disgusting....hadn't been monitored for a shower in weeks. Someone was stealing diapers. "Dementia" may not always be the case. Sometimes it's frustration and poor hearing, and overmedication. to keep quiet when not on a 24 hour cycle. Some of the staff has been wonderful, but spread too thin...grossly understaffed. When first admitted, It took me almost a week to phone. "I don't know how to transfer." "You're not immediate family-all I can tell you is she's stable." (I just asked for her room.) Dropped calls, sent to nursing station and got "Not available" message.

I have seen some bad behavior in the past but overall the staff are caring and kind. My loved one has been at Campbell Hall for a few years, and things are definitely getting better. Have talked with other family members here and they feel the same way.

they send their patients out for treatments with proper outerwear. I've seen patients go out in 15 degree weather with only a shirt on. They are stroke victims with limited mobility on wheelchair. How could they do that. Plus they get the same lunch to take with them everyday, peanut butter and jelly.

disapointed and disgusted

please please please do your homework and find a facility that will treat your loved one like a human being. That place is disgusting and they do not take care of their residents. My loved one is always filthy and always laying in bed. They do not rehabilitate there they just let you lay in your bed and rot. It is a disgrace that this place even exists. The State needs to step in but trust me I have already started making phone calls. I am working really hard to have my family member moved asap.

For long term care - stay away! They are under staffed, they don't return phone calls in a timely matter or phones ring unanswered especially weekends. My relative was unkept w/personal hygiene along w/medical neglect which was serious enough to be hospitalized and life threatening.

I am so unhappy with the facility. I have a family member there and it breaks my heart everytime I have to leave. I am working on getting them out of there because I do not see them getting any better there. The place is filthy and I am so sorry to say but a very insensitive staff just so sad. If you love you family member do not put them there.

On a visit to see a friend who is a resident there, I was very dismayed to see the residents lined up in the hallways, the bells ringing non-stop, the lack luster appearance of the residents, the out of date rooms. My friend seemed very unhappy and depressed and I could not help but feel that she was afraid. I could not in good conscience recommend this nursing home for long term care. If I was depressed just visiting, I can only imagine if this was my home forever.

My ex-husband is in a nursing home in Campbell Hall, NY since last March due to an episode of endocarditis and he has COPD and is on oxygen. He has limited eye sight. He is 64 yrs old and is able to get around on his own. We are looking into assisted living for him as he will be able to be more independent than nursing home allows. But his doctors chose this nursing home because It's close to his home and the price is really reasonable. The facility is equipped for people with different levels of illness and the staff are flexible.
