Brothers of Mercy assisted living in Clarence was very nice and it's very modern. The staff was very nice, very professional, and very welcoming. They had exercise, church service and they had a lot of activities every day. They had nice apartments too.

Brothers of Mercy is an old building with small rooms. They had good activities, good staff, and a very good chapel.

Brothers of Mercy had a range of levels of care. They have a rehab center, a skilled nursing facility, and senior apartments that my parents were looking for. We felt like this was a long term solution for their need. The people were very nice, and the organization has a very nice reputation in our area. There’s a chapel, so the opportunity to practice their faith and work within the community is an important factor for them.`

We did find my dad a home at Brothers of Mercy. The rooms are wonderful; he has a nice large room, which came furnished. The food, he says, is good. The staff is wonderful; my father loves every one of them. They have bingo. They have a men’s club which consists of them getting together or playing pool and shuffleboard. They watch fireworks a few times. They always call you over the intercom system to let you know when stuff is happening. I know that they care about their people. He’s happy; he really likes it there.

Sacred Heart Home was old. The dining facility was on a different floor, and they had to go there through the elevator. They did not have a shower in the actual room itself. I didn't like it. The only person I met there seemed very nice. They needed to completely modernize it.

This facility is very well run, is clean and offers residents a great place to live. The members of the staff are courteous, genuinely care about their residents and really try to make the nursing home fun for both residents and guests. There is a centralized activity department, which keeps residents engaged and participating in a number of fun activities. There is even a dog at the facility, which can visit residents. It has really helped the patient experience and has added to patient happiness. The facility is clean and offers decent meals as well.

I could not have been happier with the care provided to my mother-on law during her stay at the Brothers of Mercy. The more I visited her it became clear to me that the employees had strong personal relation with the facility and with all the people under their care. The daily events such as Bingo and scheduled movies gave my mother-in-law the feeling that she would never be alone and always had something to look forward to!

Overall Brothers of Mercy is a great facility. The facility is clean, the staff friendly and the care in general is very good. People seem to be very attentive to the needs of the residents. It was difficult for my Grandfather at first; however the staff did make it easier. They were always pleasant and everyone knew his name. As time went on he felt more and more at home. They provided excellent pill management and the food service wasn't too bad either. Also, the rehab facilities are top notch. In addition the other amenities on the campus are great as well. Overall, it was a pretty positive experience. The one major downfall is that it is another facility and the outside and inside is not as nice as the new ones going up. You can tell you are at an older facility. However, the trade off is well worth it.

Brothers of Mercy has a great reputation within our local community. It is known for its level of care and quality of staff. I found both of those things to be true regarding my experience. My Grandfather was a resident here for several years and we found the experience to be pleasant. They really made this difficult transition easier. The staff was always attentive and caring. They were quick to give updates and really seemed to pay attention to my Grandfather. His care was also very good. The only real negative is that the facilities are a bit older and lack some of the updates and modern touches new places have. However, our family agreed that the level of care and service far outweighed the need for better facilities. We would totally recommended the Brothers of Mercy facilities to anyone looking to transition a loved one into an assisted living facility.
