The nurses of Vna of Albany, Saratoga, Rensselaer Chha were fantastic, but they had to stop. Since they stopped my mom got sick. They would come in and do physical therapy and occupational therapy, and the nurses would come in to check her heart for three weeks daily or every other day. They were doing exercises with her, and she was doing really well, but then they stopped because her insurance wouldn't pay for it anymore. They seemed to think she was doing better. Those women were great and I would recommend them to anybody. They were wonderful, they would call me first a couple of hours before they were coming, and check whether it was OK for them to come.

The absolute worst company to deal with. Don't come when promised or needed. Then they will call and yell at you on the phone and say it's your fault. Do not do business with these people. You've been warned.

VNA has provided very good, often excellent services from nurses, PT's and other home visit specialists over the last decade. BUT since late december 2010 I have noticed that the dedicated visiting staff was under considerable pressure to perform more tasks for more clients. The spring of 2011 not only did my longtime visiting nurse leave the VNA, so did at least 24 others. The consequence of this is a less experienced and knowledgeable staff. My phone calls pertaining to very specific service questions have not been returned. I was given virtually no notice, choice or formal explanation concerning a change in my service, showing a lack of respect for the patient. The changes in care all coincide with the hiring of a new top administrator. Last year I would have given this CHHA very high marks. No longer. Care from the VNA has become work for me, the patient.
