Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care was new and very clean. The staff were friendly and professional. They provided an excellent follow-up. If we needed a place, that would be the place we would have chosen. They have a game room, a library, and a theater. They support residents with outings and doctor's appointments. They assist with all kinds of activities.

Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care was very nice. The person I was supposed to meet wasn't able to meet with me, so they had somebody else give me a tour that normally doesn't do it. So it was a pretty quick tour. We went in and saw the facilities. Everybody was very nice. It was very clean. The room that we saw had a bathroom that was easy for the residents to get in and out of. They also had an area in the bathroom where they could lock up their things. The few people I met were very friendly. It's just the tour wasn't as encompassing of the whole facility as the other facilities that I had gone to.

My dad moved into Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. The location is the reason why we chose it. So far so good. He has complained about a couple of things, but that's just to be expected. From what I expected, it has been above and beyond. I even had the actual nurse from the facility call me a couple of times. When he first moved in, he wasn't being cooperative, but I think he was just being a little lazy to kind of see what he could get away with, and she told me about it, and that's what I told her, and she's like, "Oh, okay. I got it." She went up there that night for dinner and she made him get up out of bed, stand up on his own, get into his wheelchair, and she's like, "He definitely can do more than what he was leaning on to." The interaction with the nurse and the administration staff has been great. They're always extremely friendly every time I go in there. My dad even said that there's quite a few people that have come into the room to help him, and he really likes them. I bought him an extended toilet seat, like three inches taller, and I was going to put it on myself, but I didn't want to break their toilet, and so I waited. I called the nurse about it and she's like, "I'll just have our maintenance guy go up," and she had him up there the next day. For me, so far with every expectation, it has been above, so I'm very satisfied. They've had a couple of activities. Like on Veteran's Day -- my dad is a veteran -- they basically forced him to go down there so he could listen to them thank all the veterans and all that. He was pretty happy about that. The nurse and the staff said that the more he can get around a little easier, the more activities he can go and start to do, like movies, bingo, and the different stuff that they have on during the day. I love the place. It is really nice. It smells clean. It's not rundown and it doesn't smell like piss or anything like that. It's very well kept. I got to see his room before my dad moved in, and everything was spotless. There's a huge bathroom, which is really good for him being partially handicapped. I really liked that. He was kind of confused on bathing, but they just told him, "Sit in your wheelchair and we're going to wheel that right underneath the shower." They just dried it off like that, so everything worked out really good.

Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care was a very nice place. They showed us a 1-bedroom unit, but they didn't have a studio available to show us. They have a set fee, and then they have add-on charges if they need to do the medication or if they need somebody to get them for meals. They explained everything to me. They provide the appliances like the microwave and the refrigerator, but you have to bring in your own furniture. The staff was very personable and very knowledgeable. They took us to the outdoor place where the residents can go, and it was very nice and tidy. It was just right off the dining room, so they could eat out there if they wanted to. The dining area is restaurant style and you can choose from the menu.

I toured Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. It looked like a very clean and current facility. However, almost everybody I saw was in a wheelchair. The staff were very caring. It seemed a little dark compared to the other facility. They had a gym, a salon, and a theater, and those were all nice. It seemed like a large facility. In terms of location, there is a hospital within a couple of miles. The upkeep was very good.

I visited Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. I like the care that they could give my mom and what's included in that care. They have a nurse on duty which was good, I was pleased with all that. The staff who gave the tour was very good, very helpful, and willing to spend time and answer questions. The rooms are smaller than where she's now, but it is what it is. It looked like they took care of the apartments. We looked at one that they were cleaning up and getting ready to rent out. The dining area was very open so I liked that. I was impressed at how many activities they have. They had a whole big crafts room where they did crafts. They seemed to have more activities than the place where she's at now, as far as getting them to interact, so that's good. One of the things I liked was they did the laundry.

We're pursuing Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care for my wife's grandfather. The tour was very professional. The place was very clean, I thought the rooms were great, and they felt private and like a home. The dining area was large, spacious, and felt friendly. They have lots of things. It's just not lots of things he's going to take advantage of. What we liked is that you're able to bring your pet and you could smoke and watch TV in your room.

We went to Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care in person and checked everything out. It's very nice, and it's very new. Probably the only real reason we didn't go there is one that the studio was a little bit smaller and two, it was farther away. Otherwise, I think we would have gone to Summit. It's very well, it's very well taken care of. Everyone that I spoke with was extremely helpful. The lady I talked to specifically was Trish, and she was very helpful and tried everything that she could do to help us get into the Summit. The rooms were very nice. Everything was well kept and clean. It was a beautiful facility. They had everything from Taichi, they had performers coming in, they had exercise classes, and they had bingo tournaments. They had a library, movie theater. It was pretty extensive. We looked at the dining area, everything was nicely placed. They could just come in and sit wherever they wanted. There was no assigned seating, which was kind of nice. There was a salon. They did have laundry rooms on each floor.

We toured Summit Estates Senior Living & Memory Care. I would describe the experience as excellent. The woman who gave us the tour was very, very caring and wanted to know a lot about my in-laws and their interests. They even gave us a lavender-growing kit and a gift card to In-N-Out. I told them my father-in-law enjoyed gardening and that they're not from here -- they're from Delaware -- so she said, "You have to try In-N-Out," so she gave us a gift card. She was wonderful. The facility is really nice. They're doing a great job keeping it up. Their dining area is their main area. It is big, it's beautiful, it's very open, and it's easy for people to mingle and probably visit. The only thing I did not care for was their visiting hours. They had kind of like a cutoff for visiting hours. It was really limiting for us, especially because we work until 5:00 p.m., and if we want to go and go eat and then hang out or visit with my in-laws, the visiting hours would make it difficult. It is a very nice facility. The options that they have for outdoor activities are very, very nice, even in the memory care part of it. They have bird feeders out there, and they have gardening. Also, in that facility, you can have a dog, so that is nice. The staff was amazing. She was very caring, very personable, very knowledgeable, and very understanding. She was great. The rooms were a little small, but they were very nice.

My mom is moving into Summit Estates. It’s beautiful. It’s only three years old, very well-laid out, and the rooms are very well laid out for people who use wheelchairs and walkers. It has a more modern look, it has more open space, and there aren’t a lot of unnecessary walls, so she will be able to get her walker and wheelchair around corners a lot easier. Sofia and Lita are the two marketers; they’re awesome, tremendously helpful, called me right back, took me on tours, and are still so supportive, looking forward to my mom being there and helping her settle in. The dining area is pretty, I heard from other people that the food is good. They have food service for a fee, they can bring trays to her room, and they will accommodate people eating in their room, because sometimes those big dining room can be overwhelming.

We chose Summit Estates for my father-in-law. It's a very nice and friendly community. It's well-lit and spacious which is very good for people with wheelchairs. I haven't tried the food yet but it always smells really good whenever we go during mealtime to visit our father-in-law. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. I like that you have a buzzer that you wear as a necklace, so it's always on you. The transition to get our father from the nursing home into the assisted living was made very easy, and they made sure there were no lapse in medication or anything. They were very attentive about that kind of stuff. The staff members are all really good. They have a chef cooking there, and they often change up the menu. It's really beautiful, and they have lots of common areas where you can play pool or games, and they have an arts and crafts room, movie room, and nice common areas. It seems that they have a lot of activities, like outings to the casinos, picnics, and grocery shopping.
