My mother-in-law moved into Mountain Lakes Estates a couple of weeks ago. The place is beautiful. They treat it like a cruise ship where they have events going on every day. They feed them three good meals a day. The people that work there were kind and helpful. All the residents are nice, and you could see that they are so happy living there. It's a 65 and older facility, so she is not getting any type of care. I'm still doing her medications, but they do have a nurse on duty that can take care of anyone if needed. The first thing they did is they set her up with some of her neighbors to introduce her to other people. When she goes to breakfast in the morning, she learns about all the different things that are happening that day, such as bingo, card games, movies, and different events that they're having. The first day that she was there, they were doing movie night with hot toddies. She just loves it there. It gets her to get out there and meet new people all the time. She is living in a studio, which she felt was more than big enough for her at this time. They have a gym, a nail salon, and a hair salon. The first couple of days that she was there, we would spend the days with her, and the food was really good. One of the things originally that made us want to work with them was the staff. They were so kind. Joy and Veronica were helpful to us. The building is always clean and in good condition. I think they've only been around for two years, so they're really in good shape.

We have chosen Mountain Lakes Estates. The choice of rooms available and the price there are reasons why I chose them. They've got eight different studio apartments, some corner units, and some along the hallways. They're just unique. The staff were wonderful. They have food that they serve. It's got beautiful views, a good walking track around a little lake, a salon, a gym, and the TV rooms. They've got the standard rooms, and they're very nice. It's a new building. It's only been there about two years.

I found a place and it's called Mountain Lakes Estates and that was the one I was most interested in. The tour went well. I went out there a couple of times. The staff was really friendly and really helpful. It was a nice place. It was also fairly new, so the facilities were modern. They have a chef and a nice dining room. It has laundry and everything. I was just most impressed with Mountain Lakes Estates over the other ones that I looked at. They gave me all kinds of little special incentives. They said for the month before I move in, I could come out and have meals, so they tried to do everything they could to get me to move in. They offered to move my household stuff from the place I'm in now to there, so they did quite a bit to entice me. It was very nice. The rooms were bigger, too, and I think that's the main thing that swayed me. The rooms were more square footage.

Mountain Lakes Estates was very nice, and the people were nice. The location was good, except that nothing in the vicinity was interesting to walk to. They are on a lake, which was nice. But when you go outside the grounds, you are not within walking distance of any restaurant. You are in residential neighborhoods. They had all the amenities. They had much more than I would require. The staff was very nice and showed me around. I liked everything I saw. I don't have anything bad to say about Mountain Lakes Estates.

Mountain Lakes Estates was wonderful. It's a great place. The saleslady was very nice. It was all great. It has a nice exercise room, and it's on the lake and has a walking path. The people were just really friendly. The dining area was very nice. The staff was great. Besides the exercise, I like the food, the cleanliness, and the wide hallways, and it's in a great location in Reno.

I moved into Mountain Lakes Estates, and I've been here a month. It's a very nice facility. I enjoy my time here. The facilities are beautiful. It's practically brand new. The food is very good. The staff is very nice. The residents are also very nice, I made several new friends in a short time. I really couldn't ask for anything better. It's a very good value. It's not inexpensive, but it's worth it. The food is very good. They keep it quite varied and if you don't like one of the dishes, it offers other things you can choose from. So it's quite good. It's very clean, and it's very well cared for. There are shopping trips weekly. They show movies, they have a theater. There are exercise classes. There are crafts classes, and they have bingo games multiple times a week.

The staff at Mountain Lakes Estates is incredible. They will do anything for you that they possibly can. The administrator and the maintenance person actually assembled my mom's furniture for her that was shipped there, and basically set her room up for her (including her TV, her bed, and dresser). You couldn't ask for anything more. They were just wonderful. Her room is brand new. No one had lived there before, and it was very clean and really just perfect for her. She moved into a studio, but it's really all she needs. It has a nice little kitchenette, a really nice walk-in shower, and I was able to put her shower chair in there. The food varies day to day. My mom has a specialized diet, so she doesn't need meat basically. She has to make alternate choices, but I stayed there for a week with her when I moved her in, and the food was good (some days it's great). It just depends. She has become friends with people there who play some of the games that help her with her vision, like playing bingo and that kind of thing. They also have live music twice a week that most of the residents really love. I was there for two of them myself, and the musicians were very good. They do movies too, which she's gone to a couple of times. There also is a gym. The activities director tries to encourage the residents to come in the gym and introduced them to the different machines. My mom is 86, and she's actually going and doing that. So, that's pretty amazing. Again, the staff is just incredibly wonderful. They all wear different hats, like the administrator will serve food, the person that helps to get you admitted in there does everything too, and the maintenance man drives for the people. I made a doctor's appointment for my mom and the maintenance man took her to her appointments. I had a walker delivered for myself while I was still there, and the maintenance man put it together for me.

I went to Mountain Lakes Estates. The rooms are small and frankly, the brown industrial carpeting really turned me off. I asked the sales lady if she would find out if it's possible (should I decide to move in there) to change the carpet because I really couldn't stand it. This is a new place and whoever decorated it, decorated it drab and dark. They only had four one-bedrooms in the entire place of over one hundred units where my furniture would fit, and of course they're all taken. They have the best location. They were a mile from my house, so I'm very familiar with the area. They're situated on a little lake. Their patio is gorgeous. It's absolutely the perfect location for me and beautiful regardless. But with a tiny room with brown carpeting, I couldn't live there. Because there's only about 50 people living there, so many of the activities depends on the people who are living there. I think it's not fair to judge. They have the usual activities. It was a cheerful place. The saleswoman was very gracious. It's new, so it's clean. I didn't care much for the way the dining room was designed, it looked more of like an IHOP or a Denny's because it had a lot of half booths with tables and then chairs on the other side. It didn't have that open, friendly feeling. They also have sit down hours. It wasn't as inviting as some of the other dining rooms I've seen.

The staff is wonderful and helped my mother set up her apartment and even assembled her furniture. Everyone is very friendly and made my mom feel welcome. The place is brand new and beautifully decorated. They have scheduled activities that my mom enjoys including live music twice weekly. She has a studio apartment which is small but it’s all she needs.
