About This Community

Fernley Estates is different from the other assisted living and memory care communities in Nevada. That difference starts with these six words: Caring People. Serving People. Improving Lives.

Assisted Living:

We offer as much (or as little) help as you need to stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible.

Team members are trained to provide exceptional care and service. Life-enrichment programs keep you socially connected with fellow residents and the greater community.

Medication management and help with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing provide dignity, comfort, and peace of mind.

Chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and other amenities simplify life.

Exercise classes, wellness programs, and outdoor excursions create an active, healthy, fun lifestyle.

Memory Care:

Individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive impairments thrive in our safe, intimate Memory Care neighborhood.

We offer apartment-style suites and welcoming common spaces. Trained caregivers meet Memory Care residents’ unique daily needs including:

  • Exceptional personalized care and service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Daily routines and consistent individual and social engagement.
  • Chef-prepared meals and assistance with activities of daily living.

Every day, life is simple. Life is good.

We make sure of it. Every aspect of community life reflects the people who live here.

  • Friendships and fun.
  • A good book next to a warm fire.
  • Lively discussions over home-cooked meals.
  • Quiet conversations over tea.
  • Create art, grow gardens, learn yoga.
  • Movie marathons, card games, and Margarita Mondays.
  • Live entertainment and virtual performances.

My wife was in the assisted living care at Fernley Estates. I just moved her down to another facility in Reno because it was getting kind of hard for me to drive up there, but I couldn't recommend a higher recommendation on them. It was wonderful. She loved it, I loved it. If it wasn't for the fact of getting aides and difficulty on that road, I wouldn't have changed her. It was friendly, they were good, and they were interested in the people. She was there for about six months. It was a nice atmosphere and it was a well-run facility. My wife was very happy there, and I was too, but it would get to the point where I couldn't make it up there all the time. My wife's room was a nice size. It had an individual bathroom, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a good sink. It was a nice room. There was a lot of activities. There's bingo, various exercises, walking classes, and various things that they did. They're very nice people. They take care of the people. They're not harsh or anything, and they're really concerned. The help that they hire were topnotch. They also have bus trips and they took you to appointments if you needed or to shopping. They were first class all the way around. They had an excellent maintenance man. The place was kept very clean, and they were taking care of the people. It's a good value for the money. One other thing that they have is they also brought performers in for music.

Most things are fine except food is awful. Meat is tough, often un-chewable. Most are served cold. Menu is not varied enough. These things have been brought to the administrator buy myself. HELP!!!

My mother is in the assisted living level of Fernley Estates. It goes from assisted living to memory care. It's a very nice place, it's brand new and clean, and the way it's designed makes it easy for the residents to get around. It took a while for them to get on the same page with how much care my mother needed, but after a few weeks they finally got it all worked out, and everybody's doing well. The atmosphere is very upbeat, they play games and get the seniors involved with exercises, or they take them on a bus into town. Where my mom in is a 1-bedroom that has a bedroom, a little kitchenette, a living room, and a bathroom. They also have 2-bedrooms and studios where everything is all in one room. She loves the food, they are balanced senior meals with low salt and low sugar, but the food seems to have good flavor and good choices despite that. The location is good, and it's 30 minutes away from town.

Fernley Estates is a brand new place that just opened in July. We visited the facility and I was very impressed with it so we had our uncle there. Our experience with them the first time was awesome. The staff were wonderful. We haven’t found anyone there that we have any problem. They have all been great. The rooms were nice and big and roomy. In the memory care where my uncle lives, they play bingo and they also play cards, but I know that they have more activities in their assisted living facility. They have a calendar of activities. I can also tell that their prices are very, very reasonable.
