Hospice Care:

Most hospice care is provided in the comfort of your own home or a home of a family member or wherever patients call home. This could be a private residence, a family member’s home, a nursing facility, or an assisted living facility.

Palliative Care:

Palliative care is similar but different than Hospice Care. In palliative care, the patient is still allowed to receive curative treat plans and is expected to live longer than 6 months.

A hospice care physician is responsible for overseeing hospice care and palliative care patients' treatment plans. Such things as medications for symptoms and pain relief.
