I know about Sierra Place Senior Living because I had another relative who lived there 10 to 15 years ago, but I got a good tour. It's a very nice facility. It would have been one that I would have chosen, but my mom preferred the other place. It's clean, well managed, and well organized. The staff was very good and very thorough. It's independent and assisted living. They're intermingled. They are apartments, not divided apart.

Sierra Place is really nice. The girl, Melissa, took me around and showed me everything. The staff was fantastic and the people were just friendly. They really made me feel comfortable there. The rooms were really nice and spacious. The 1-bedroom has a living room and little kitchenette area. They have a complete gymnasium and all kinds of activities. While I was there, they had a person who was doing music for them, like a singalong type of thing. They also have bingo and exercises.

I’ve been here at Sierra Place for 3 weeks now. Food is excellent. It is like going out to a nice restaurant. The rooms are nice. Everything is nice so far. The staff is excellent. The care people are wonderful.

We've chosen Sierra Place for my father. I just like the feel of it. I like the administrators and the size of it. It's bigger but not too big. I like the layout and the location. I think the food is quite good. I know they do a lot of activities and they offer a lot.

Sierra Place just renovated and looked clean with nice colors throughout. The outside was very well-kept, and the rooms were spacious. The staff seemed alert and happy. We had very good a luncheon in the dining room, which was set up like a restaurant where you order off a menu. My mother is playing bridge, has gone to movie nights, and went on an outing to a mall just last week. It looks over a golf course, a residential area, and a shopping mall with a hospital just half a mile away.

My mother was well taken care of at Sierra Place. She really enjoyed her stay. The facility was very clean. There were a lot of different activities and the food was really good. They had people come in to sing, like choirs, and they have a wine night where people gather around the piano and drink wine and sing. They have movie nights. They have orchestrated trips, where they only pay $5 and they go to a movie, casino, lots of different places. My mother was in a one-bedroom apartment, which had a nice balcony overlooking the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It had a little kitchenette and a dining room, nice living area, and a handicap bathroom, and a bedroom. The staff all seemed very encouraging and very kind to the people they are taking care of. They will come and escort you down for your meals, or they can bring you a tray of food into your apartment. They were very accommodating. They served snacks in the afternoon. They have Arts and Crafts Club too, and there is an exercise room in the facility.

I visited Sierra Place for my husband. The facility was very nice and clean. It seemed well-cared for. The dining area was also clean and nice. I really had no problem with the facility, it's just a little bit farther away from where I live.
