I didn't like Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. I think they're extremely overpriced. I didn't like the room that the staff showed me. It was just kind of dark and depressing and the view out the window was a wall. I like the area it was in, but I wouldn't consider it. The staff was pleasant and friendly. She was able to answer my questions. I just didn't get a good feeling about the place. They had some activities, and I saw a shuttle bus parked outside with their name on it. They don't have a hair salon, but they have a bus to take you shopping and to doctor's appointments, and that was about it.

I toured Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe and it was a pretty nice place, but the room dimension just wasn't going to fit my parents' needs. There was really nothing wrong with it. The staff was accommodating and they answered all our questions. They had a two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom, but it was not an independent living set up. They only offer assisted living and memory care, that's why we didn't pursue them.

When we visited Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe, it was mostly assisted living that we were looking at. We went and viewed everything in the place and enjoyed seeing what they got.
They were very nice people. We had a nice tour of the place, and we sat down and talked. There was no rush to it and no strange vibes or anything. We were really happy. We met the executive director. She was really helpful and told us that it is not just an easy thing to do. We were impressed with that place.
They were plenty nice, the little apartments that we saw. The one-bedroom apartment and then the other one there has plenty of room. They weren't like going into a hospital room or anything. It was a little more relaxed and could be made comfortable. They showed us some of their guest rooms, but we didn't ever go up to where the memory care part was, this is all down below where assisted living is.
We saw the kitchen, and some of the stuff they were bringing out. It didn't look like mess hall food you get from all over, like going to a school cafeteria food or something like that. It was a lot more. They have changed that over to a restaurant-style kitchen instead of a buffet-style thing. I thought that was nice. You can look at a menu, order something, and they'll fix it up and bring it up to you on time. It was nice and clean, and it was all decorated for Halloween and things.

Mom has been at Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe for over a week now. We chose it because of the staff. Even though they are short-staffed right now, they seemed to care and they were a lively bunch. What I was most impressed with was that they have an ambassadorship, and that's somebody who lives there. My mom made friends with her even before my mom moved in. I've tried the food there and it's mediocre. Mom's room is big and spacious, but they're still remodeling her kitchen area. I think some cosmetics need to be replaced like the older carpet. Their carpet is just so gross. I know they are hiring, but they are short-staffed.

What I like best about my tour at Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe was the family atmosphere. It was extremely clean and I like the willingness of the staff to make my mom feel as at home as possible. They put the clients or residents first. I'm very impressed by the entire facility. We saw a large building, the memory care is the next building over. The staff was very personable. My husband began talking with the maintenance worker, and they were great, they were very friendly, and everyone seemed happy. They have large living accommodations. They have a beauty parlor, a library, and a chapel.

I found the tour at Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe to be pleasant. They spent lots of time with me and were happy to answer all of my questions. The gentleman that took me through, I was particularly impressed with. He's the concierge there, and it's because of his thoughtfulness and sensitivity to stressful issues. It made me feel like if I was to move forward, that it's a facility that's actually being thoughtful about all of the needs of the client. The rooms were big, I thought they were quite large. It all looked quite lovely, they were updating carpets and things as needed, so they're not letting some older stuff slip. Even though its an older facility, it had been renovated, they're doing the carpets this year. So I could tell that the ownership is wanting to do its best for the property and the people. The dining area was nice.

I visited this facility with a friend of mine who was planning to get her grandparents in. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Jazmine and soon after met up with Anne the executive director. We got a tour around the facility and everything just seemed wonderful. Everyone was so welcoming. I met Marty who’s in charge of the kitchen and she was so sweet. We came a little after lunch it seemed so they were cleaning up but she still offered some refreshments. The room we saw on the second floor seemed very spacious. It was very beautifully set up. We walked into the community room where we met Patty and they they were playing Bingo. The residents there seemed to enjoy it and asked us to join in. All in all this place seemed wonderful.

Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe was okay but there were a lot of things and fees that were kind of added on and we don't know if we can afford it or not right now. I have to talk with my friend's family first before we make the decision.
The lady there was able to explain it to us somewhat well but it could have been explained better. It was clean though, as far as what we saw, there's no question about that. The only thing I didn't like was that the 1-bedroom we saw was too small. They showed us the room where my friend could be going. They showed us the dining room and the activities, what he can do, and stuff like that. They gave me the brochure, and they talked about the meals. They also gave us a calendar of all their activities.
It wasn't great, but it was good. There was nothing to complain about because what I saw was okay. We saw the room and it looked pretty good along with the dining area. All in all, I think it was good. The dining area was nice and had a lot of space and it looked like a restaurant type of thing. It was clean too.
The person who welcomed us was good but my friend had a hard time hearing her. That's not her fault though, it's just my friend. The staff kind of went close to him to try and make him hear better so she was good. She explained everything as well as she could. In other words, she did her job. She tried her best to explain as much as she could about the place.
As we came in, the place just looked like a regular building but it didn't look bad. She was not able to take us to the patio or where they sit outside because it was just a quick little tour. The inside also looked like a regular place or a regular house.
For activities they have the TV, they have movie nights, church, and stuff like that. The staff did not mention many activities.
She showed us a barbershop and a beauty salon. She just showed us through the door, we didn't go inside. It was the same thing with the library too. We just saw it from the door. It was just a really quick tour.

I toured Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe and the people were very, very nice. They just didn't seem quite as organized, and the layout was a little confusing to me. The room that they showed me wasn't ready. Somebody had just moved out, so it wasn't clean or anything. It was also smaller and darker.

I went to Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. It's a mixed facility, and once you're there, you could stay there until you die. The layout was nice. The person who took me around answered any questions and gave lots of information. It was just too expensive for my friend. They were all really busy because it was around mealtime. They're all talking and having a good time together. They're obviously making friends. They try to meet the needs and the interests of the residents. There's a fellow there that doesn't want to be around tons of people all the time, but he loves libraries, so he's in charge of the library.

Most all staff is kind and courteous; however, there is an overall lack of organization and supervision.
The services offered are not being delivered.
There are very few activities, the room cleaning is spotty, trash collection iffy, maintenance is poor.
Staffing numbers run below advertised levels.
No one from administration present on weekends or evenings.

Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe was very nice. The director was also very nice, and very informative. She showed us around and it was very clean. It was very quiet though, because they were out on a bus trip. So, I didn't really get to see it in full action. I wanted to see how the people were, but they weren't there, and it was on a Saturday, so I didn't get the full extent of it, but it was nice. I think my mom would have been fine there. It seemed homey and comfortable. They have a library, and the dining area is restaurant style, but I'd like to see a better outdoor facility there, where they could go out and sit and all that stuff.

I moved my mom and dad into Pacifica of August 2019, encouraged by the fact that the director at that time had a nursing background and was genuinely engaged in the wellbeing of the residents. The facility was in decent shape, the food was adequate, and there were numerous activities to choose from. This director left in summer of 2020.
Since then, my concerns about the way the facility is run have increased, culminating with my mom and dad's exposure to COVID while inside Pacifica in January 2021, and by the end of January both of them died of the virus. Neither my mom or dad had been outside of the building for months, and I had not been able to see them other than through-the-window visits since October 2020. So I can only assume they were exposed to COVID through Pacifica staff, and I wonder what kinds of protocols were in place prior to January 2021 when the breakout that took my parents' lives as well as those of several other residents happened.
To add insult to deep injury, I am still waiting for a refund from Pacifica for the pro-rated days in February that I paid rent after my parents' died. I had an agreement with the director that I would pay for half the month and if I cleared their apartment out before the middle of the month I would receive a refund. I was told it could take 30 to 90 days to process. I finished removing their belongings from the apartment on February 11. I am still waiting for that refund nearly 4 months later.
I contacted the director and finance manager several times about this and either received no response or was told it was in process. I asked if there was anyone in the Pacifica corporate office that I could file a complaint about this and was told "there is no one specific."
I can't help but think if I waited this long to pay a bill, Pacifica would have tacked on late fees.
Some of the line staff who took care of my mom and dad were wonderful. But because of unprofessional administrative practices and other concerns, I would strongly advise anyone considering this facility to think twice and research other options in Santa Fe.

Pacifica Senior Living in Santa Fe is an impressive facility. They have a well designed facility. The rooms are spacious and the grounds are beautiful. The many activities they provide to the residents creates a very important sense of community. I was especially impressed with their staff's devotion to and care of the residents. I interacted mostly with Anne. She really showed me that not only did she want to do what was best for her facility but that she wanted to do what was best for the existing and new residents. I was helping someone look for a facility for their father and Anne answered any and all questions they could think up. My grandparents were in a different AL facility and it was like pulling teeth with your bare hands to get the staff to address concerns or problems. So Anne's devotion to assisting us however she could was refreshing and much appreciated.

this facility is barely affordable to us. it has a cold feeling. Covid precautions are not very good, we walked in being neither interviewed nor having our temperature taken. patients walk around without a mask protocol being enforced. facilities are ok. tour was not very good, common area was not shown to us. no brochures were given to us. overall it was a so so experience.

I had a physical tour of the Pacifica. It's a very nice facility. The staff are very nice and very upfront with what they could offer. It's beautiful. The rooms are beautiful. The bathrooms are perfect for handicapped people. It is a nice facility. Once we figured out that my mother wasn't going to be able to stay there, we didn't go into their amenities.
It's in a residential area, which is nice. There's plenty of open spaces. There aren't too many buildings around them. The community is friendly and open enough where you can have your privacy in your room, but you're able to come out and mingle if you want. The shared space is plentiful. It's open enough to where people could gather if they want. Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe is my favorite. I like that it doesn't smell like a senior home. The staff members are very nice and pleasant.

My mother moved into Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. As far as I can tell, she's getting what she needs. With the COVID situation, I can't even visit her. It's small, they seem very capable, it looks clean, and she's happy as she can be right now. They have a lot of staff turnover. They're not really using the dining room right now, but they're feeding them. Because of COVID contaminations they're not letting them mingle or anything like that.

My aunt moved into Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. My aunt seems to be happier, and she seems to like it there. They have dining services three times a day, they do laundry for them, and they have a full-time nurse. I noticed that the carpet and the room was a little dirty, so I brought it up to the management, and they said they will take care of it. They said they will cater to the residents with Spanish food and other stuff Spanish people are used to.

My father-in-law has moved into Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. It is pretty good. It is quiet and very friendly. The apartment is decent, but it is kind of old and falling apart. The floors are nice, but the bathroom is not great. My father-in-law says the food is good. The value is pretty good, too. However, the housekeeping and laundry needs to be improved. Also, it seems so quiet there, and it doesn't seem like the residents are out and about very much (except during meal times).

Great facility for assissted care. Your loved one has only to participate in meals and activities. All chores are taken care of by Pacifica.

Its like walking into Home! The atmosphere is inviting and comforting. The staff are super friendly and treat you like family! Memory Care residents and staff dance everyday, so lots of fun and therapeutic activities! This facility is definitely a must see, so secluded and quiet.

I was relocating my mother from Illinois, and had a very tight time frame in which to make this happen. Marta, marketing director, was so supportive and available with all the twists & turns that arise during this process. Most of all, she was concerned about my family’s welfare during this changing time. I always felt my concerns were heard and considered to ensure a peaceful transition for my mother and myself.
Once she was at Pacifica, everyone was so helpful and welcoming—I feel so grateful & at ease that we have found a great home/communityfor my mother that we can feel proud of.

Our mother entered Pacifica three months after her 100th birthday when hospice could no longer care for her adequately at home. We could not have been happier with the compassionate and conscientious staff. Their quality of care was outstanding, and the family will be grateful forever that we chose this facility for our mother to spend her months. She was kept clean and comfortable, well nourished and tended for a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

I liked Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe. I had a good lunch there. They provided three meals. The staff was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The room was fine; there's nothing wrong with it. It's actually bigger than what I like.

I was very impressed from the moment I walked in for a visit. The staff is very kind and helpful and seem to sincerely care about the residents and their well-being. I think my mom will do fine here once she gets acclimated.

Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe seemed nice. It was the most affordable and most economical for my relative. During the visit, the staff was very courteous. She’s getting the two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom, and it’s fine. The room is not spacious; it’s a clean slate, and you make it what it is.

Pacifica Senior Living Santa Fe was good. Everything seemed to be pretty nice. However, they did not have any apartments with a kitchenette and that's something that my mom really wanted. The staff was great and kept following up. The way the rooms were set up seemed very nice. I would not have any problem seeing my folks there; they just were not quite ready for that. They showed me everything that they had, and it seemed nice.

Pacifica, I would say, was very institutional. It seemed fairly clean, but it did not have a good reputation. It wasn’t that bad. It would have been my third choice. They had quite a number of rooms that were shared suites, which I didn’t think was suitable for my parents. Their dining room looked fine. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it was not the best. They had a media room, a library, and exercise activities. If I were them, I would paint the facility a brighter color because it looked quite institutional.
