The Arbors of del Rey was renovated. It looked very nice, clean, well maintained, had a good appearance, looked like a new facility although it's older, and had a very welcoming environment in the living area. The staff was very caring and very active in looking after the residents. I appreciate that the management was very involved in not just supervising, but actually hands-on leading by example the staff. They were motivated to be very active and very alert to the residents' needs. They had board games, bingo, and brought in people from the area for entertainment such as a guitar player and carolers during the Christmas season. They had a Christmas party for the families and brought in therapy dogs.

The Arbors of Del Rey far exceeds that of any other Assisted Living for Dementia/Alzheimer's in Las Cruces. The Care Partners are compassionate, respectful and loving to the Elders and most have the longevity that you don't find at other assisted living facilities. But the real difference is that this is truly a home for our loved ones and not a "facility." When my sister moved to the Arbors, I felt a sense of peace that I hadn't felt in several years caring for her.

The Arbors of del Rey is a very secure place. People coming into the facility will go into a nice waiting room, then a staff will come to greet you and let you in. Inside, it's beautiful. The rooms are around the sides, and in the middle is the dining room. They also have a craft area. The rooms do not have bathrooms. They have bathrooms in the pod so that careworkers can know and help the residents when they need to go. I just don't know how they'll know that, but I'm sure they have a way. They have the most beautiful patio area, and then they have an area where they can walk safely. They also have a bench area with goats, rabbits, and chickens, and the residents can feed them. It's really cool.
