This place should be closed! The administrator is uncaring and disengaged in the care of these people. He does not care at all and is very unprofessional when confronted. I don't think he has the credentials to be in his position. He runs around putting out fires just so the place isn't shut down. My family member has suffered there for months. The food is not edible. It is cold and not flavorful.Go ahead and visit it at lunch time or dinner.It is a quality of life issue that is being disregarded. Even when the health department is called, things are over looked. We could not understand why nothing was being done. Many people that live there have fly swatters the flies are so bad. But there isn't anything anyone can do. Some nurses are kind but some are really nasty so the people are afraid to say anything. The social workers are lazy and look the other way. Thank God we spoke to our neighbor and they told us how to get our family member out of there. Do not consider this place! The people that say anything good about it are probably not long term and only there for rehab.

I have been so impressed with the staff at Southgate Healthcare Center. Everyone seems truly committed to the residents and their care. The staff is responsive and attentive. My mother is there now and has been getting exceptional care. She loves the activities and the food. Efforts have been made to assure that she has everything that she needs. They are all wonderful to work with. I have been very appreciative of all that they have done and all that they do do for her each and everyday. Thank you all so much!

The nurses and the CA’s and the ladies in the therapy room are great. They help you with what you need. The rest of the employees are just as good. The food was so so. There was time it was good and times it was not. Overall I had a safe time there. The people were nice. I was taken care of. The room was kept clean. I was kept clean. I would stay there again if I had to.

I was at Southgate twice for total hip replacements rehabilitation. I decided to go to Southgate for their exceptional therapy departments. The facility is clean and nicely decorated. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, most of all very professional. There were plenty of interesting activities. If I had two more hips, that is where I would go for therapy!

We found Southgate Health Care Center for my cousin. I like the fact that it's all in one floor, it's nice and clean, and smells good. Everybody seemed to be about their business going in for patients. The people there seemed quite cooperative too.

My daughter was here for reabilition. When she was hit by a car.They are a verygood nursing home.very expert.Took reall good care of her.Now she can walk again.Has been doing well for the past 15 to 20 years.I recomend this nursing home to very one.
