My sister-in-law moved into Brighton Gardens of Edison. The place itself is very welcoming. I was very much impressed with it. Their grounds are lovely, the individual rooms are very nice. I was very much surprised; I thought all nursing homes would just have a bed in there, and you would go downstairs if you wanted to watch TV or anything. It's set up like a little hotel room. It's very nice and very clean. She's only been there two, maybe three weeks but the staff seem very accommodating. We're just very happy with that. Though she didn't want to leave her home, she keeps telling me how nice they are; this is good news to hear. Every time I've had to ask something, or question anyone, they were right there. So, right now they're still a five. I'm not saying they can't go down, but right now they are five. I didn’t try the food, but I asked her, and she said it was very good. I have, read about them and what they're planning to do and whatnot. They're having an open trunk night, October 27, for Halloween. They're telling people to bring their grandkids and kids in general, and they have entertainment. They have trips and whatnots. They're all expensive as far as I'm concerned, but compared to the others, it's well worth paying for.

I toured Brighton Gardens of Edison for my parents. The community was good, but we were just not happy with it as they didn't have enough community group areas. They only had one, which was their lobby. There was no separation between the bedroom and the kitchen or living room area. The place looked fine. The person who gave the tour was very good. In fact, she had a service dog with her, which was very, very well trained. We met in the dining area, and it seemed to be very small. I liked the location. I needed to have some place that was close to my home that I could help them or be available to them. They were playing bingo in the lobby when we arrived. There was very little outside space. Brighton Gardens is good for one person, but not necessarily good for a husband-and-wife team because I think it's too small. The staff was very nice and very professional.

Brighton Gardens of Edison was nice. The staff who assisted me during the tour was fine. I got a sample of the menu, and it looks ok. The room that I was looking at seems a little bit smaller than some that I've seen. In terms of activities, they were having a little history thing, and that was fine. They showed us where they usually do a few things, but that was right in the open when we walked in. I didn't see any extra rooms to do activities in.

We were not that impressed with Brighton Gardens of Edison. The person who showed us around was very nice enough to give us whatever information he had. The other staff members were also nice enough. I was just a little disappointed that even though we called, there was no one to take us around and give us more information on the pricing, etc. The room size was good enough, but the layout was not impressive at all. The shared room was a 1 out of 5 because there was one big bed on one side and one twin bed on one side, which didn't make any sense to us. We saw people playing cards and watching TV. The whole scenario didn't look any bad. It was pretty good, and they had tables around for sitting and for dining.

I visited Brighton Gardens of Edison. I was escorted by one person, who was very nice and had only been there for two months so she was excited about the job. I met a couple of the residents who seemed to be enjoying themselves, so that says something. The rooms were nice but kind of small, and the closet space was tiny. The residents were engaged in playing bingo, sitting around talking, and they had a book club. The people that I talked to were pleasant. It's an older building, but it was clean which is important, and I didn't see any dirt in the corners. I didn't care for the entrance-way, I had to walk through the other unit, which was like a hospital.

The people at Brighton Gardens are friendly. The place was nice and clean. They had all kinds of games, crafts and trips. They had laundry service, and they had everything that you needed. Everything was fine. They serve three meals a day. The place doesn't smell and they take care of everything. They have transportation if the residents need it. The staff seemed to be professional and knew what they were doing. I only saw one room that was available. It was like a studio room and it was a small one.

My aunt is living in Brighton Gardens of Edison. Their staff is very caring. Each resident has a care manager assigned to them to assist their needs. They have studious or one bedroom apartments. I wouldn't call them spacious but they are livable and manageable for people. They even have room service. They also have spiritual and religious services there. They have accounting office that they can have accounts and access to cash if they need it. They have a shuttle service that takes them to different trips once or twice a month. All their meals are being taken care of by the staff. I would say that their food is pretty decent. The care that the residents get is pretty intensive.

The staff was very nice at Brighton Gardens of Edison. It has big open space, but I didn’t like their rooms. They had no design and no color.

The workers were smiling at Brighton Gardens, and they seemed happy. Most of the residents seemed happier too. This facility is a little bit smaller, and they could use more parking space and bigger rooms for activities. The rooms are fine. They have two sides: one for assisted living and the other for skilled nursing. They have church, prayer groups, rosary groups, and outings to various stores over the week. They have a flower arrangement group. They do exercises in the morning and play memory stimulation type games. You can have a dog or cat in your room. The food is low sodium, but overall it’s pretty good.

My mom was at Brighton Gardens for a couple of weeks, and then she passed away. I had co-workers who had parents there. It was very cheerful and welcoming. The staff was outstanding; they had a high work ethic. She had her own private room. It was lovely; it had a lot of space. They could decorate any way they wanted. It was very open; you didn't feel cramped in there. She enjoyed and liked the food. They had a really nice dining room. She played bingo. She did a book club. She was involved with the Jeopardy Wheel of Fortune Hour and she was working on some puzzles, too. They had a puzzle group.

Brighton Gardens of Edison was OK. In comparison to the other facility we visited, it was not as well-appointed. However, the room arrangements and the room layout for a couple were much better. The staff seemed fine. I spoke with the executive director, and he was fine. He gave us a tour. I have no problems with any of the people. They were playing some game, another sedentary game, but it seemed like it was well-attended.

Brighton Gardens is our choice for my mother-in-law because it is the only facility in this area that have assisted living and skilled nursing. The people working there seem very caring. They have a lot of activities like board games, bingo and entertainment. They go on three or four trips a week. She's very happy with the food. We had lunch there a couple of times and the food seems to be in very good quality with wide selection. The rooms are very accommodating. She seems happy since she moves there. I am highly recommending them to others.

I chose this facility because it has a skilled nursing, assisted living and dementia unit. It's actually good because there's a rehab unit there in case something happens, it has everything in one place. They have many activities and the residents go out on trips. There are activities available from Monday to Friday and on days there aren't any activities they go for outings. The staff is good, they're doing good care.

Thankfully I was able to find Brighton Gardens just before losing hope of coming across a living facility that I would be able to afford for my mother. My mother is not very pleased with having to leave her apartment however; I insisted that life would be easier for the both of us if we got her into an assisted living home. It is much easier on me knowing that my mother is safe staying at Brighton Gardens with nurses and other residents. The nurses I spoke with were all extremely friendly, interesting and knowledgeable on the care needed to be given to each specific resident. It made my mother and I really feel that Brighton Gardens cares for the people it is responsible for. My mother has constantly told me how friendly all of her fellow residents are and on many nights her and her new friends spend the night out. It just seems like a great environment and I am glad that I am able to afford this facility especially because it is so close to my own home. What a stress reliever!

Great facility a little downbeat maybe some music or games will make more lively. I wish it didnt seem like a care center and it actually seemed like home. People want to be somewhere were they can go and relax without having to feel like they are in a hospital it was very upsetting to me the type of environment this is.

This home is a home away from home. My mother was recently forced to live in Brighton gardens because of a fall and was not happy about the move. Although she was rude and inconsiderate I thought that nurse jackie had a great attitude and really put my moms needs first. by the end of the first week she was more enthusiastic about her situation and made some friends. Of course there were the usual complaints and I expected nothing less. Arguments among residents are common but not unforeseeable. She is moving out in a week and actually plans to go back and visit. I mean who has ever heard of that?
