It has a more intimate setting. It's smaller and it's set up to feel a lot more like a home rather than an institution or a hospital. The TV's going and people were having conversations. It was nice and it felt warm. I enjoyed it. The kitchens were designed to look like a kitchen in a house as well. One of the things that was appealing was that they do weekly shopping. All the meals were cooked and prepared in a more personalized style. So, it's not institutional cooking and they will be able to modify my mom's eating times and style. It's a locked-down facility. You have to have passcodes to enter and somebody had to let you in (that's for their safety), but it doesn't feel unpleasant. They have nice little fence gates that look like a home fence kind of thing. I liked that the rooms had bathrooms in each of them. I liked the responsiveness of the staff when I called. They were all very warm and helpful. I thought it was nice that their residents were out and about and not stuck in their rooms. It looked like they were keeping the place up.

We're leaning towards this facility for mom because it's a smaller facility. I thought my mother would get better one-on-one care because the clientele population is small, so I like that. The staff during the tour was knowledgeable and professional. I couldn't ask for better. She answered all my questions. There are single-family rooms. There was one room where you could put another person in there, but I would prefer my mother to be in a single room. She explained to me that the rooms were small because they don't want the residents to stay in their rooms. They want them to interact in daily activities, so I liked it. They had a large dayroom and they had another area where there was a piano. It was very nice. It reminds me of my mother's house because older people are used to hardwood floors. It was a nice cozy setting. It had a full fireplace, things that my mother would like and would be familiar with. It was very clean and the area was secure. I liked it. The doors were locked. I didn't have a meal, but it smelled very good. The manager says the residents were getting ready to eat lunch.

This is a warm, home like setting daycare for my Mom to enjoy while I'm at work. A locked facility is warranted due Moms condition (Alz/Dementia). Although they can not accommodate transportation, I arranged my work schedule to drop her off myself. VERY friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'm extremely comfortable when dropping her off. She enjoys lunch, sometimes dinner and activities are on site if Mom chooses to participate.

I visited here. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They played games when we went there. The rooms are small but pleasant. They don’t stay in their rooms except to sleep.
