We were very impressed with the assisted living at Spring Hills Cherry Hill. The memory care was just very depressing and dark. My mom would need memory care and dad assisted living. It was absolutely beautiful in the assisted living section. In the memory care, the rooms were spacious. We love the woman who gave us the tour. There was no shade at all in the outside space for memory care. If you're going to have no windows in the dining area, you have to have yellow on the walls or something like that. It felt dark and depressing, and it's a depressing situation anyway. There's no getting around that, but you have to bring some kind of happy into the space. Grays are depressing and the floors were all brown. There were a lot of browns. There's got to be some happy down there. I can't comment as to the care itself, just the facility. The lady during the tour was wonderful and very caring. The dining room in the memory care especially was very dark. There were no windows down there. I think the windows were in their rooms, which was nice. Maybe people avoid the common spaces after meals. That was just a first impression, and that's the only criticism that comes to mind. There seemed to be a nice ratio of caretakers to residents. The bedrooms were very spacious, had nice storage, and were nice. The staff seemed very caring. In the assisted living, they had a beautiful courtyard, firepits, fountains, and beautiful landscaping. It used to be a hotel with a restaurant, and they have kept the restaurant. It's like eating in a restaurant. The menu was incredible. For assisted living, you would feel like you're living in a very gracious hotel. The rooms were large and had walk-in closets. For assisted living, it would be a beautiful, beautiful place. They have a movie theater, different musicians that come in, wi-fi, TV area, and people get together and play cards. They used to have a fitness center, but the staff said nobody used it, which surprises me. That would be a negative because I know my parents use theirs all the time. The staff was very friendly and seemed very caring, but that's first impression.

My mother moved into the resident care on Dec 2020. Covid 19 hit in March of 2020 and this facility went on lock down like most. Fast forward to current day 4/10/2021 and they are still on lock down. We have been dealing with Covid 19 for over a year and all residents have been vaccinated. The issue is this facility has done nothing to adjust and residents are locked within there room with nothing to do but wait to be served their meals. This is a disgrace. The cost for my Mother to live at Spring hills is a ridiculous amount of money every month. Spring Hills is a glorified storage space. Be very leery of this Assisted living community. They will lead you to believe your loved ones are cared for but do absolutely nothing for them that requires effort. Very dissatisfied that Spring Hills in Cherry Hill can't have residents entertained with crafts, painting, coloring, virtual trips SOMETHING! Shame on management.

My tour at Spring Hills Cherry Hill was great. It's a beautiful community, a very big place, and the people are very nice. It's clean, lively, but very expensive which is a huge drawback. It used to be a hotel and they converted it into a senior place. The rooms have been renovated, they're beautiful and very spacious. You can get a room with a full kitchen, they have big living rooms, big bedrooms, nice sized closets, and a full bathroom. They bring outside vendors for the seniors. I saw what they call a restaurant. It was their dining area that used to be a restaurant and it's attached to a hotel. It was very nice. Their elevator is small but they have multiple floors and it's a very large place.

My wife and I stayed at Spring Hills Cherry Hill for one week. My wife didn't like it. I didn't have any complaint against it except the service at night was very bad. We called somebody with the button, and they came up after three hours. We called them one night to go to the bathroom and nobody came. On the left side of the room was a small kitchen and a refrigerator, and it was very nice. They've got groups, a small gymnasium, and they come and wash the residents' clothes. We put a bag outside the room, but nobody came and took it, so we had to call them. The food was good.

My mother was a past resident of Spring Hills. It was very expensive, and they did not take good care of my mother. Each time I visited her, there were two piles of urine-soaked clothes on the floor because she had wet the bed. The services were awful, they told me my mother would have a care person with her 24 hours until she adjusted, and that was not the case; she hardly had anyone with her. It was beautiful, because it was like a hotel, and they kept it like a hotel, but the residents weren't friendly, and they weren't active. The food was excellent, but the service in the dining room was excruciatingly slow.

Overall, Spring Hills Cherry Hill was a great place. It used to be a hotel, which you could tell by the way they arranged it. They remodeled it nicely. It had a big lobby, and everything was done well. It had a good atmosphere and a nice fireplace. The staff was good and very friendly. There were people eating who looked like they were enjoying it. The rooms were nice and big, just like a hotel room. The activities were very nice. They had a movie theater and a library. You name it, they got it.

I would like to give this communtiy an outstanding review, for always looking to be inivative in the program is provided for my mother. They have made comfortable with her transitions and have listened to any concerns I have had in her move. Grrat staff and management. Very happy with our decision.

I am happy to provide a review. My mom moved in here in August. Spring Hills is a beautiful residence inside and outside. Apartment room is spacious and cool interior design. All of the staff is kind, caring, and can be counted on no matter the situation. The menu has many choices and tastes good. The activities are plentiful, organized and fun. Another major benefit is the rehab available right on my mom's floor. This has been a difficult transition. It was a seamless process here at Spring Hills!

Moving your loved one to a retirement facility is such a tough decision. Springhills will sell you the moon to get you to move in. Good luck getting one thing you were promised before you move it. The workers talk about the owner like he walks on water, almost like they've been brainwashed. He's so caring, he's so involved. Forget it! He's constantly out of the country and is never accessible yet no one can make a decision without him, no one can ever get him, I asked for him repeatedly. So in his absence they put these people in charge that haven't worked an honest day in their lives. Short work weeks, short work days and putting themselves first. This place can't keep workers. As a matter of fact, I've researched other retirement communities they own, they can't keep workers anywhere, they brag about how long their workers stay with them. It's the executives that stay around. They should run some numbers about how long the actual workers stay. Their executive talk to people like trash. I actually sat in the lobby with my mom and heard two of their executives talk to one of the workers in such a horrible way and then laughed about it when the worker walked off because they couldn't see my mother and I sitting by the fireplace. Where's the owner while these horrible women are left to run his company? Don't move your loved one here! My mother was there 3 years before we moved her. Every year there was a 6% rent hike. It doesn't matter what the economy is doing, what social security is doing, what the cost of living is doing, my mom got 6% every year. They are just taking advantage of poor old people who already live on a fixed income. They talk about all the amazing stuff they do but then treat people like crap. The people end up leave and the poor old people get even worse care because they can't keep workers.

Spring Hills was fantastic, except for the community fee. It was the nicest place I saw, so far. It was very classy, very beautiful, and clean, and had a hotel feel to it. It had a nice ice cream parlor. It was really big, so I think it was more suited for independent people or people who can get around. There were stairs when you first come in and marble floors, so it was beautiful. It wasn’t a good fit for my father because of the layout.

Loved this place for my Mom....they kept her going for the 7 months she was there. The staff is kind and caring; they pay attention to your loved one. My mom unfortunately had to go to a hospital and onto nursing care. We are working with hospice; she, even with her Alzheimers and Congestive Heart Failure, still asks for the people at Spring Hills. My mother needs skilled nursing care, which Spring Hills does not provide; however, they do provide a beautiful place that is active and enjoyable with fine dining, lots of activities and great friends for your loved one, as long as they do not need a nurse 24/7. It would be cost prohibitive for our family! Thank you Spring Hills! Lorie Ritter

Spring Hills was very beautiful; this was our first choice. The location was great for me because if you need to get in and out, the parking was good, so we could keep our cars. The services were good. I think the rooms were a little larger, and the hallways were open. It gives you the sensation of openness. The staff was great. The woman tried very hard, and I feel sorry for her. She took us in the facility to lunch, the luncheon was well staffed, and the food was perfect. I feel a little guilty to make her go through so much when we haven’t made a decision.

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the young age of 61. After a thorough search, my sisters and myself decided on Spring Hills assisted living facility for our mom. The facility had an “Alzheimer’s wing” where they assured us that she could go when her memory reached the point of needing that type of care. We were promised in the meantime that they could accommodate up to a nursing home care level in their assisted facility until she was ready for the wing. We moved our mother to the Cherry Hill location in August 2013 with a Medicaid bed agreement signed and 20 months later she was involuntarily discharged due to Spring Hill’s “inability to care for her behaviors,” all of which are/were common Alzheimer’s-related behaviors.

I actually have been there at Spring Hills. I think I've been there probably twice, and I thought it was wonderful. I had a thing I had to do from work there. I have a friend whose uncle was there too. I never heard anything bad about that place either. I didn't see the rooms, but I saw the common room that was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very involved although I didn't see them doing any activities. I know that they have a director that has all different things for people to do every day. They have a lot of options of things if people are inclined to do that.

We chose Spring Hills Cherry Hill for our parents over all the others because it is the best in terms of overall appearance, cleanliness, and accommodations. The apartment sizes and accommodations for what you paid for made the most sense. The structure of the activities at Spring Hills is exceptional and far exceeded the types of activities and gatherings that were planned. They have a schedule that starts first thing in the morning and goes on till after dinner in the evening, and it is full. They have a lot of things that other facilities do not have. It is very much a luxury assisted living. They have an ice cream parlor, a salon, a gym, physical therapy place, and a huge movie theater for the entire building. It is really very nice. It used to be a hotel, and they converted it into a facility. They did a wonderful job. Every element of assisted living involves a care plan. They are very nice people, but in that assisted living facility it is like a concierge service. If you don't ask for it, you don't get it.

"We are very happy with my dad's new experience as a resident at Spring Hills. Everyone is fabulous! The staff and residents are very pleasant and friendly. My dad has begun to participate in many of the activities; such as exercise class, singing, and community meetings. My dad is amazed at how quickly they all remember his name!"

We chose Spring Hills for our parents. We looked at the living condition, the state of the people, the patient's family members, talked to the people, sampled the food, and gone throughout the facility. It was closer to where my sister lived. The rooms were very spacious. The food was exceptional. It was in a restaurant type setting. So, instead of having a choice of 1 or 2 items, they had a choice of 20 items for breakfast, 20 items for lunch, and 20 items for dinner. As far as activities, they had movies, exercise, billiards, and arts & crafts.

My mother has been living there for over a year and I have to say my siblings and I are very pleased. The staff is always very accommodating to us. Just a few weeks ago a relative from out of town wanted to visit my mom and my entire family wanted to join in with the visit. The staff worked together very quickly to make it so pleasant for my mom and all of my family members that wanted to be together for breakfast. The staff could not do enough for us to make my mom and the rest of us feel comfortable with such short notice. They said this is not a common thing, but they would make it work for us. Whenever my mom needs extra care and I call to talk to a nurse, they always go immediately to attend to my mother. We are very pleased with Mike, the general Manger and his staff.

The facility is beautiful but there is just too much staff turn over which is not good for the residents and their families. My family member lived there for almost a year but our family found it frustrating that they kept turning over the staff.

I was very pleased with the reception at Spring Hills. It's a very nice facility. It was an old hotel that has been completely renovated, very up to date. It's very bright and cheerful inside. They have one and two bedroom apartments. Each apartment has its own little kitchen and a very large walk-in closet. They have an Alzheimer's unit, too. Pricing is up to the individual. You pay by the day, and 3 meals are included. The person who interviewed us seemed very good. They have a small theater, an exercise room, a doctor's or medical area where you can have a visit with the doctor if you don't have your own, and nurses and aides on duty. The staff is adequate. I will recommend it for a tour.

Springhills is new and the rooms are larger. It has a very flexible meal schedule and the dining is open from 7:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night. I have tried their food and it was marvellous. They decided to accommodate all taste of all the people. They don't have independent living but they do have assisted living, memory care and nursing home. This is the place I would like to move in.

Spring Hills Cherry Hill was a large place. It seemed like my mom would have a hard time travelling from one area to another. The residents all seemed happy at the facility. It looked nice.

I would say that this is the best facility for senior people that i have ever been to. I visit this place every week with my friend and we really have a very good time there. We made lot of new friends. The staff and the people are really caring. They take care of people as their own. You have one and two bedroom studios and the place is like a hotel with all the amenities. All rooms feature private bathrooms, walk-in closets and sparkling new full size kitchen. Individually controlled thermostats are just one of the many added touches that ensure that each resident is provided with all the comforts of home. All the people enjoy enjoy three delectable, nutritionally balanced, gourmet meals each day, served in a restaurant style atmosphere. I really like this place. I would like to spend my old age here for sure.
