My Mom was here for 3 weeks in the rehab facility. This rehab was a complete disaster. My Mom was neglected, made to feel like she was crazy and was absolutely filthy. She was at Cadbury to regain her strength after she had a long hospital stay. She was not given PT on a regular basis. She was left without a bedpan or assistant to the restroom and sometimes left to stay in her own waste for hours at a time. She was made to take medications that the nursing staff would not disclose the names of the meds. Overall, if you care for your loved one and want them to be taken care of for any length of time, please do not send them here. It was heartbreaking and really difficult to get her moved to the hospital again then another care facility.

They just seem to go through the motions in healthcare, but really don't care about the people. Response time to problems or requests are almost non-existent. Seems like they are more interested in billing you for anything they can, to increase their profits. Information about any medical evaluations or drug treatments are hard to find. No one seems to know what is going on, and worse don't seem to care. I would strongly urge people to look at other facilities.

Today, I went to visit my former neighbor of 33yrs. She went into Cadbury about a year ago. She has Alzheimer's and had been doing very good. She certainly didn't deserve to be in the location where she was. Most of those people were in wheelchairs and non-responsive. She was talkative and mobile. My husband and I went to visit her about every 2wks. She had been doing great, then about a month ago, I came in and she was sitting on her bed soaked in urine. Nobody knew, nobody cared. She seemed totally out of it. When I got there today I heard two nurses or aides talking about her. She looked horrible. She was totally incoherent, she had sores all over her body, her BARE feet were extremely swollen and freezing cold. I looked on her table and her breakfast tray was still there at 11am. It was a pancake and sausage patty and it was ice cold. Nobody bothered to see if she ate or helped her. I could only give her bites because she kept falling asleep. She told me several time when she was awake that she had to go to the bathroom. I kept telling her to go in her diaper because I didn't think I could manage getting her to the toilet. She kept saying she had to go and when I looked under her top, she didn't have on any underwear or a diaper! I went out to tell the nurse, thinking this must've been a mistake, but she told me that the patient was combative and so she left her like that. I don't know how combative she could've been because she was practically in a coma when I saw her. There were clothes in her toilet (which I know she has been doing) and they complain about it. Well she has ALZHEIMERS!!!! There was also blood on her sheets, which I assume was from the sores all over her body. I killed me to leave someone that I love there, but I am not a relative, just a friend, so I have no legal authority. I wouldn't treat a dog the way she was being treated. On my way out, I spoke with a woman in some kind of administrative position but I didn't get her name. When I told her about all this, she basically said, since I wasn't a relative or legal guardian there was nothing I could do about it. Then she started to tell me that I don't understand how difficult those people can be. I told her I cared for my grandmother in my home for 8yrs and I bathed her, changed her diaper, fed her, dealt with her nastiness (because of her Alzheimer's) and took care of her bed sores. It is truly a labor of love and I have the upmost respect for people who do that job. It is thankless and I' m sure they don't get paid a lot of money for it. It broke my heart to see my neighbor like that and I think it's an absolute disgrace. Cadbury is NOT a place to put your loved ones in their "golden years"!

I visited Premier Cadbury of Cherry Hill, and I hated it. As soon as I walked in the door, it smelled like a nursing home. It also looked like a hospital. I would never have taken my mother there. I went to the nursing area for memory care, and they were like hospital rooms. The person who gave me the tour was fine, and I don't have complaints. I didn't like the place.

Cadbury Nursing and Rehab provides a very clean enviornment. While examining the facility you are lured by the beauty of the facility. However, the nursing staff is very curt , abrupt and unresponsive to patient needs. The Director of Nursing seems anoyed that anyone might want to discuss patient progress , and does not return phone calls. The aides are are frequently seen chatting together instead of helping the residents. Rehab has caring and supportive Physical Therapists. We are not comfortable that our Mom is getting the loving attention that she requires. The promise of Quaker quality care is not evident.
