I would have prefered to be treated with respect and caring. The staff was generally very poor helping resident . I had several things stolen from my room. And that was while I was living there. When I finally got out thanks to the elevatore being broke for at least 3-4 weeks{I lived on the third floor}. My empty room was ransacked. I would rate this place a zero if zero was an option. Do not put anyone you love in this place or any place the owner operates.

My mother-in-law was at an assisted living in Bordentown called The Clare Estate, and it was wonderful until she started with her dementia. The facility itself was nice. They had a lot of activities for them. She had her own apartment, and it had a living room, a little kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom. Some of them had efficiencies where it was all one room, but they were nice. She got all three meals every day down in the dining room. They washed her clothes for a fee and brought them back. She had someone who came in and dusted and everything. They had bingo every day, music, and piano playing. It was good, but then she got dementia and started to roam outside. We used to go there and have dinner or lunch with her. We would pay for it for ourselves and eat with her.

We chose The Clare Estate for my mother because it felt warmer and nicer. The staff and services are very good. They have a lot of activities, although she is not a joiner. She has her own apartment, but she needs help. It's very nice. They have all kinds of activities, like card games, trips, and things like that. The value is pretty good.

The Clare Estate was fine. The place was very clean, and we were well-received. I didn't have any problems with them. The person who assisted us was very helpful, greeted us, and was very kind. There were people in the library and activities going on.

The Clare Estate was a God-send for our family. Mom received exceptional care in a loving and compassionate environment. Over the span of 20 months, Mom experienced the entire range of resources from the more independent monastery side to "the bridge" and then to Anthony's Walk where she passed peacefully in hospice care with loving nurses, aides and staff surrounding her and our family. The Clare gave Mom back some of the freedoms that she desperately missed while living in our home....at The Clare, she was safe and well-cared for and she loved the activities and the people. We got our Mom back as she flourished in "her place" enjoying social interaction and activities each day. We couldn't have asked for a better environment and we are forever connected to the people at The Clare who provided amazing all around care for Mom's body, her mind and her spirit.

The Clare Estate is an exceptional place. Our grandmother lived here for the final two years of her life, and the care they provided was unrivaled. The staff at the Clare became like family because they cared so deeply for her and for all of us. Our grandmother was able to progress through all levels of this facility until she passed, increasing the level of hands-on care as she needed it. Obviously a lot of careful thought goes into selecting a place for a family member, but our grandmother and family all agreed “what’s not to love” about the Clare after seeing it for the first time and experiencing the comfort, warmth, and love of the staff here. They obviously provided 24/7 care for our grandmother but also went above and beyond to help us celebrate her birthdays and provide us comfort as she passed. It would have been horrible to think about moving her to a separate facility as she continued to decline, so we were incredibly grateful for their ability to care for her until the end, including bringing in hospice to Anthony's walk. Words can’t express how grateful we are for the Clare and we wholeheartedly recommend them! -Kaitlin and Heather

Clare Estate was very nice, and I liked it. It was an old brick building were nuns lived. There were individual rooms on three floors. It was a very caring place, and everyone I met was very helpful. They had a piano player, singer, and parties.

My sister feels comfortable at Clare House. They have studios and one-bedroom apartments. The staff is very accommodating. If she needs something, they’re able to give the service. They have a library, an all-purpose room, and a section for memory problems.

The Clare Estate has independent and assisted living areas, but my mom is in a special area that is strictly for Alzheimer's residents. They have a separate building that is just for Alzheimer's. This place is a close distance from where my stepfather lives, and he visits her every day. He is very impressed with the care that is being given to her and that she is having her needs met. He is absolutely impressed with the nursing staff.
The staff is very attentive. I believe there is a doctor who comes on reques,t but they have a complete nursing staff. An activities director is there, and they do different kinds of activities with them every day. On a daily basis, they have arts and crafts. They make little things in string beads. They have music events, and they're usually in the evening. People come in and entertain the residents. They also have day trips.
I was impressed with the room. It is much more than my mother needs and much more than she can handle. It is a very large room, and it's set up in a bedroom area where she has her bed, a nice standard dresser, and then across the room is like a little living area. She has a small table with chairs. There is a private bath, a refrigerator, a sink, a little kitchenette area, and it did have a microwave oven, but we asked to have that removed.
Our whole family spent Christmas with Mom, and we had a private dining area that they supplied for us so that we could all have Christmas dinner with her. There are three meals a day. There's breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast menu changes. Lunch time is their main meal, at noon, and then there is a light supper menu in the evenings.
I was there three times. On those three occasions, I have to say that everything was in order. It's very clean. They do laundry and bathing. Mom can't do that herself now, so she is bathed two or three times a week, and then her hair is a big thing with me. She needs to have her hair washed on a regular basis, and they are washing her hair once a week.
