My mother has been at Hamilton Continuing Care for four years now. They're wonderful. The staff has been attentive to my mother's physical needs. They communicate well with the family. It's a beautiful community with beautiful, nicely manicured grounds. The public areas are clean and accommodating to the residents and family. The rooms are always clean. The activities seem to be varied. They have a schedule every day with a nice mix of physical activity and fun. I'm very happy with all the people who I have come in contact with. The only thing that I have had a problem with is that my mother's stuff has been stolen, which has not been remedied.

My mom has been in Hamilton Continuing Care for at least a month. I love the facility, and everybody is very nice. Nobody stays in their bed; by breakfast, everyone is out of their beds. It's a combo between a rehab and a sub-acute. There are activities that go on every day from 8:00 in the morning until 6:30 at night. The people who work there are very caring, make contact with the people, talk to them, and socialize with them. It's been a great facility for rehab for my mother. The grounds are great, and there are sidewalks all around the facility as well as parking areas.

I was in N.J. this past summer & visited my aunt once a week while there & found this facility to be lovely on the outside, with a nice campus, nice grounds, pretty flowers. The lobby is inviting. The dining room is large with lots of tables. They try to keep the residents entertained. However, the residents bedrooms are small & cramped. Two to a room with two rooms using one bathroom. It's not very homey. My aunt who is 92 is a resident with all her faculties. She's also a full paying customer but has to share a room with a poor soul who is on constant oxygen & can't do anything for herself. As a result the room gets smelly. The machine is very noisy & my aunt can't sleep because of it. At home she was a very good sleeper. She only gets 2 showers a week & says the food is just so-so. I think, as a full paying customer she should have a private room. The facility does have a few private rooms but they're all taken. She tells me many of her clothes go missing when they launder them. I find the place has more bad points then good.

Because Hamilton Continuing Care is a smaller care center, my father gets a lot of attention. It is also conveniently located because it's less than a mile from my house and a mile and a half from my mom's house. The food is terrible looking. However, the facility is very clean and we've always been happy with the staff.

This place is not for someone with a medical condition, dietary needs or someone interested in serious rehab. Facility run down subpar and smells. My family member lays in his soiled pants through the night. Overnight staff is horrible. Daytime nurses and assistants friendly but many others are not. Food is not edible and delivered ice cold without adhering to diet restrictions. If you can afford a different facility...go! We alternate family coverage to make sure has an advocate because no patience or understanding. Also hard to understand many on staff.

Very attentive and caring staff for my mom, who entered Continuing Care for physical therapy for a broken hip and remained as a live-in patient due to dementia. She was in a different facility where she was left on her own to the point that she dislocated hip twice and had to return to hospital for treatment and further surgery. Once she went to Hamilton Continuing Care, there was never a problem. They had her up and dressed every day, and always was within sight of a caretaker. I am very pleased.
