My father was a patient on the second floor. We received a call on 2/20 that my father fell out of his wheel chair and hit his head. We were told it was MINOR and he was being transported to Riverview out of precaution and protocol. I met the transport in the ER and was horrified to see their version of minor. The cut was 3cm long and 2 mm deep. He also had a fractured pelvis and bruised bottom. If this is their version of minor, can’t imagine what serious (I took pictures in ER but unable to post here). When my mother went to pick up his clothes and personal belongings after my father died in the hospital on 2/25, she was told she did not belong there and had to leave. Are you kidding me? While he was there, average wait time for assistance to go to the bathroom is 20/30 mins because the nurses don’t won’t help and they look for the understaffed aides. Heartbreaking to see grown adults screaming for help so they don’t soil their clothes.

After having knee replacement surgery I went to Meridian Rehab In Shrewsbury. The care I received from the nurses and aides was terrific. My Therapist, Danielle and Tatiana were fantastic. Everone at Meridian we’re kind and always smiling.

ALL of my father's needs were met 100 percent with professional care...the entire staff was always warm and welcoming... they answered all my questions without hesitation... I was able to go home with peace of mind, knowing that my father was being well cared for. I have experience with several rehabs taking care of my parents in the past, but this one far surpasses all the standards that one should expect from a rehab facility. I would recommend meridian shrewsbury to everyone in need of a rehab and/or long term care.

Dad came home yesterday from Meridian Nursing and Rehab at Shrewsbury. It was a terrific place. The staff was very caring and there were a lot of them in and out of his room all of the time. When he needed something, they were there and he didn't have to wait for anything. They were very helpful and punctual, as my father said. He was very happy with them. The food was excellent, like being in a restaurant. There was a lot of it, very nutritional, and had everything anyone could need and more. My hat's off to the chef. They had activity time, like bingo and entertainments coming in. The only thing that was a little difficult for us was the language barrier with the aides. A lot of them are from different islands and hard to understand. It had nothing to do with their performance; it was just a little communication problem on our end because they didn't seem to have a problem understanding us. I can't think of any complaints that we had while we were there. It was clean, and everything was on the up-and-up.

My sister is at Meridian Nursing for physical therapy. We're hoping that works, so she can move on and come home. The rooms are very nice and clean. There are nurses always walking around.

My mom moved to Meridian Nursing & Rehab for a long term care. The facility was close to where I lived. It was a very nice just like a hotel. She had a roommate but she had her own closet. The bathroom had a shower inside which was bigger compared to the previous facility she was in. My mom loved it there.
