My mom used to be at Merry Heart. The staff was wonderful and did their best. Every time I had a problem, no matter what it was, they were on top of it and couldn't have been more helpful. However, the facility was run down and dirty. They need to put some money into it. It just wasn't clean. My mother was there during hurricane Sandy. There were roof leaks because it really took a hit. I just was surprised that things didn't get fixed quickly enough. The nursing home area is more expensive than the assisted living section. They're making all this money with so many people there, so I wish they'd put a little more back into their facility.
