United Methodist Communities at Pitman was very quaint outside, we were very optimistic when we approached the building. The staff was very nice. It felt cramped though when we were in there and it's outdated. I didn't see much activity at all among the residents or anybody there. I wasn't impressed much at all, the rooms were very small, there was only one elevator, and they were very cramped with people coming and going. It just needed a facelift. The staff that I spoke with during the tour was very sweet.

I visited the United Methodist Communities at Pitman. It was very nice. They also had memory care, which my uncle will eventually need. The staffs were very informative and very accommodating to the patients. They have a bistro where the patients can order what they want from the menu. They have a nice courtyard for them to sit in, which was nice, and they also have a church.

United Methodist Communities at Pitman is probably the best visit that I had. The people were just super, everybody that I talked to and dealt with, we talked to and met with one of the caregivers. She talked to us for 5 minutes, and they seem to have the same stuff as the other place I toured, as far as the facilities look. It's very well-kept, clean, everything was really good.

I liked United Methodist Communities at Pitman. The staff was friendly, and it looks like they have some activities for everyone. It's a little bigger with a lot more people than the other place. Just the way it was set up though, it felt more like a nursing home-type atmosphere (even though it's not). I still like the atmosphere. I didn't get to talk to anybody because they were busy. They had some things going on. As I was coming in, people were very friendly and they spoke to me. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, very friendly and she was very personable. The food smelled good and looked good, although I didn't try it. As I was coming in, they were cleaning certain floors. I just didn't like that it's apartment-style, and the building is 4-storeys tall. They have a gym. They have a salon, and they have somebody that was there for you to do one-on-one. They have lots of equipment in the salon as well.

I went to United Methodist Communities at Pitman. There were a lot of people coming in and out, but they did a rapid COVID test on me before I went in, which I thought was interesting. There's other women there that my mother knows from when she used to live up here, so I thought that would be a nice thing if there were familiar faces. But they didn't have any -- they wanted to put her in the memory care unit, and they didn't have any room until -- they had a waiting list.
My mother likes calm, quiet, no fuss, not a lot of people around. She's just a very quiet, private person, and that's how the other place I went to was. At Pitman, there were people all over the place walking in and out. They were gathering to go into the dining room, but they weren't in the dining room, they were all in the hallway, and there were a lot of people around. We went upstairs to look at the rooms and waited for the, it seemed to be the one and only elevator, and people were trying to come downstairs because they were trying to get to the dining room. It was just too much. I knew right away that wouldn't work.

We went to United Methodist Communities at Pitman. That was very nice, but my mom was overwhelmed with the size of it, 'cause there was like five or six stories to it, and elevators, and all kinds of things. It's nice and clean, inviting, and it's a warm atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. Even though it was older, it was clean, and it felt comfortable. The space was a good-sized space. I think we saw a mid-range room, but it was very nice. The outside was nice and kept clean, and they had a nice parking lot at the back of the building.

We went to United Methodist Communities at Pitman. It was clean, well taken care of, it looked like everybody was content and happy there, that's why we're going there. They have bingo, they go on trips to restaurants and shopping, and they have religious affiliations, as well as masses.

I visited the facility and thought it was the perfect fit for my client. The facility was spiritual which I thought was a plus. My client could provide private pay for 2 years as required but was denied to become a residence. After 2 years she did not have the funds and would have to go on MEDICAID in which medicaid did not pay enough to have a patient like her even thought they never met her. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the decision and the reason that was given to me. As far as being spiritual it only applies if there is a fat wallet to go with it.

I saw United Methodist. It was very clean, it looked like the residents were having a good time, and they seemed happy. It was a very large community, and might be intimidating for my mother-in-law. They have a dementia unit, and they have activities for everybody. The staff member was very informative, and had great follow ups even after our visit.

Our experience visiting United Methodist Communities at Pitman was fine. The people who helped me were very helpful, and the facilities were nice. They showed us the schedule of activities.

United Methodist was clean. The marketing specialist I met with was very polite. Everybody is tenured; they’ve been there a while. It was nice and has a lot of items available. We saw the studio apartments, and it was very nice. I saw a model studio, and it was very nice, repainted, and refreshed. They have a queen size bed, a dresser, and two chairs, but my mom isn’t qualified because she doesn’t have money. I liked the place, but I don’t like the follow up. They told me that they will call back. They have an in-house salon, and a little snack bar area, which I actually thought was pretty nice. They have an actual rehab -- which I thought beneficial because a lot of people as they age go to rehab.

Pitman Manor was older and needed updating, but we liked the atmosphere, and people were doing a lot of things inside and out. The rooms and bathrooms were really small, so it would've been really difficult for my dad to get around in his wheelchair. The people working there were good. Nobody was just sitting in wheelchairs; the residents were moving about, going in and out, and taking walks. They seemed more active to me.

Pitman Manor was not great. My mother did not care too much for it. They didn't seem to address the concerns of diabetics. When she was moved to healthcare because she hurt her back, I felt she was overmedicated and not able to do as much as she could've done. My mother moved out November 30, 2015, and I'm still waiting for a security deposit from them. I'm not really happy with them. It seemed like they were just trying to take her money and leave her with nothing. I didn't feel that she got great care in the healthcare part. She enjoyed assisted living there, although she couldn't do any of the activities because she had macular degeneration. They didn't have many accommodations for people with macular degeneration when she was there, but they have started to change that. They did say that should she run out of money, they would keep her in the home. She wouldn't have to worry about being thrown out on the street.

We did visit Pitman Manor. It was a block from my house, so that made it very convenient to have it right there. They were private though. With regard to the staff, they were really great there. They were really, really nice. The people there actually seemed happy.

When I went to Pitman Manor, the whole facility was very nice and homey, but they did not have call buttons in the room so that's why I did not choose this facility. It was also an older facility. The staff were very nice and they were also good.

We had friends who stayed in Pitman Manor. The place itself looked pretty good. I like best the people that work there. We saw that they cared for their residents. It wasn't just a job for them. They were doing it because they cared for their residents. I have nothing but praise for the people that are working there. We did try eating there and it was good and satisfactory.

Kindest, most caring and welcoming staff and residents of any of the communities that we visited. Dad has decided to make Pitman Manor his new home.

I visited Pitman Manor. The staff was very accommodating and very informative. The facility was nice. They had a garden with benches where you can sit outside. It felt like a residential setting although the room was small. They had activities like crafts, concerts, discussion group and they have outdoor activities too.
