I was at Seashore Gardens Living Center for rehab, and I was pleased with the time that I spent there. One of my first observations was that the staff was courteous. They did not say, "OK, it's time to go and do this;" instead they would say, "Would you like to do this?" and that courteousness was shown in all that they did. I received physical therapy and occupational therapy, and I left there feeling that I was in better shape than when I went in. Also, their social services people were helping me to get additional aid at home for home care and possibly get Medicaid. I was there for two weeks and in the first two weeks, we were in the quarantine service. The room was good, and they're very particular about cleaning and taking care of things. The food wasn't the best, but it was good. The grounds were nice at all times. Occasionally, I would have a service to take me outside to do therapy if the weather was nice. It's a lovely place. They have an area called the boardwalk, which has been closed for a while because of the pandemic, and it's a place where you can get some takeout food. There's also a gift shop and a park with an aviary. At one point, I heard somebody playing the piano, and a bunch of people were getting together for that. So, it was lovely. The therapist would come in and play games with you while they were doing the therapy, but as far as things to do in between therapy sessions, there was pretty much just a television and whatever you bring with you, like a book or something like that.

Seashore Gardens Living Center is very nice and clean, and most of the staff is really good. My only criticism is the food, there's not enough of it and it's boring; I wouldn't eat it. If food is an issue for someone, I wouldn't want to go there. They say the patients can always request something else if they don't like what's being served, but a lot of the residents are impaired mentally and can't speak for themselves. They always keep it so nice and clean inside, I would have rated them a perfect score if the food is better. I would say that the aide Shantay, and the nurse George are very helpful. In terms of value for the money, you get what you pay for. It's more expensive than other places but it's also so much nicer than other places.

My mother was a resident for 4 years at Seashore Gardens. She had excellent care while she was there. The facility was always spotless and pleasant to be in. We never worried when we had to leave her because we always knew she would be taken care of. There were also plenty of activities and events for mom to go to. She made good friends while she was there.

My father was at Seashore Gardens in long term care for 3 years. Staff was very helpful, especially towards the end. It was reassuring for us and my mother to know he was being taken care of.

Seashore Gardens was excellent, the people were very nice, and the prices can be a little high for my friend. The rooms were clean and adequately sized. If he could afford that place, he would be highly recommended to go there. I was well received there.
