My parent died and before they were even buried, staff tossed all belongings (including half eaten snacks) into trash bags and left them at the doorway. We would have gladly packed the belongings if asked. We felt our parent’s life held no value to the facility.

My husband is at The Elms of Cranbury. The place is clean. Some of the people are very pleasant, but they have a turnover in the lower echelon, which is ridiculous. You're just about to get used to one person, and then you got already the next one, and that is the sad part. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a bad place.
He was supposed to get therapy, one day it was at 1:00, one day it was at 10:00, and the next day it was at no time. The therapists were very nice and very good, but there was no scheduling. There was no management and that's just been the problem there. Otherwise, a lot of people try very hard. I'm not saying it's a horrible place. The food is typical, like every other hospital food and stuff, and it's very bland. It smells better than what it tastes.
There's a therapy room and nice working facilities, but they can never tell you which day or what time they're going to pick my husband up to help him with the therapy. He was doing pretty good for a while. He gets so disgusted that he says, "I don't want anymore." I never know what time they're going to do what. Even the young people who were working with him were very sweet and very nice. It's very irregular, but hopefully, it's getting better. They're talking about hiring better people. Everybody has been very nice. I'm paying and he's not on Medicaid or anything else and the bills are pretty high.

The Elms of Cranbury was giving rehabilitation for my dad's hip when he was there, and it was an excellent facility. The staff was caring and accommodating. This was during COVID and we had a lot of legal matters that we had to handle, so they made it accessible for the attorney to contact them, and they provided witnesses when we needed documents signed. The rooms were nice, she was in a shared room, and it was large enough for two people. The rehabilitation and therapy was excellent and they showed us everything that they've been doing with him. I highly recommend them.

The Elms was a wonderful facility to stay at. The staff was amazing and extremely attentive. The facilities were clean and the rehab department got me in and out within a reasonable time. I would recommend the Elms to my friends and family.

My mother was in The Elms of Cranbury for two weeks of rehab. They did a lovely job. They're a wonderful community and did a good work with my mother. They got her walking and strong again, and she was pretty weak when she got there. They did a good job. I didn't pay for anything. It was paid for by Medicare and her insurance.

My husband was a patient for three weeks. Both he and I were very pleased with all aspects of service -- rehabilitation therapists, doctors, nurses, aides, social services, and dining room staff. The physical surroundings and environment were pleasant. The food was varied and surprisingly tasty for an institution. The staff was responsive to requests. We recommend The Elms enthusiastically, should you need such a facility.
