This place goes on our never again list for my elderly mother. They seemed more interested in committing her to their long term care area than they were in rehabbing her which was the reason she was there. As in most places there were a handful of staff members who went above and beyond but, sadly, there were only a few. Unreturned and unanswered phone calls, food from home that went unrefrigerated and spoiled, trying to discharge her to home during a snow state of emergency knowing there was no care available at home, discharging her just when she was turning a PT corner, are just a few of our complaints. That list should include the fact that when she was discharged she was sent home with someone else's teeth!

Amid and during the Coronavirus pandemic the entire staff have been nothing short of exceptional, caring, supportive for our loved one. I have nothing but very positive comments, feelings and support for each and everyone working at and supporting the center. They are truly "Angels On Earth". They surly have and continue to go above and beyond during these very difficult unparalleled times.

The patients at Cranbury Center are amazing, happy, sociable, and friendly. The Alzheimer's patients are on the second floor and those who can still communicate are on the first floor. The problem is when mom asks to use the facility, the wait time is long, and the staff wasn't the happiest. They have a few activities, but they have a nice dining area and they place dining companions together, so you form friendships. The residents are in the hallway, speak to each other, dine together, and give each other advice and chitchat. However, it could take up to three hours to use the facility sometimes. They would prefer that you urinate or defecate in the paper than they clean you up at their convenience. The lunch lady would yell at the patients and the aides that are transporting them to the lunchroom. She has a roommate, and the rooms are nice sized. The facility is nice, and they have a nice courtyard. They're a bit overpriced. You can find facilities in the area that are cheaper and has better healthcare.

My father is currently here for rehab while he is fighting cancer. My mother was here for rehab 20 years ago, and let me tell you--it is exactly the same, down to the wallpaper. The ceilings are warped, and I am concerned about the cleanliness. My dad's heat was on SUPER high, when he is prone to dehydration (the nurses have copies of his medical history). His bed doesn't sit up, so he can't eat. They have him in a diaper that was full and they hadn't changed until we complained. And the bed is too short so his foot is pressed against the bottom board, which causes sores. I get the impression that nurses check on him every few hours, which is NOT enough for someone in his condition. It could be that they are understaffed, but that is unacceptable. Some workers seem to care, which is the only reason I'm not giving this place one star. Thank you to those few of you. I appreciate the work they do given the obvious mismanagement of the place. Overall, avoid this place if you can. If you have no other option, make sure you visit your loved ones often to keep an eye on them because the nurses sure won't.

I visited Cranbury Center on several occasions and noticed how the staff treats their patients. I truly believe that these aids tell these people not to say anything to their family members. I asked a few people if they're treated fair there and they all said they couldn't say anything bcuz they'd get in trouble. Get in trouble, by whom? If my family member was in this facility and she told me this I could assure u I'd find out what's going on and people would go to jail! Don't threaten elderly people! In your dementia ward, do u have a cleaning scedual? That part is filthy! I believe a call to the health dept is in order. Never again will I come there, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

My father was in this facility about 4 years ago for treatment of a MYRSA infection and overall we were satisfied with the care. Now that I needed to put my father in a long term facillity, we chose the same one...1. It is under 10 minutes from home. 2. He entered into rehab there first then was able to transition to their 2nd floor long term unit. 3. This facility was highly rated on many sites that I found and that was very important to me for my father's care. 4. The financial person has been so helpful in guiding me with the Medicaid procedure. 5. I have found the nurses go above and beyond their regular responsibilities and it shows!!! I would suggest taking a tour of this facility and consider this one of the top choices in the area. Even my father's doctor from his hospital stay in Princeton rated this one of his top 3 in the area.

We found the nurse staff to be competent, caring and friendly. There were several aides that we found could have been more attentive and caring, and in need of more careful management. Also, our mother was due to come home on a Tuesday, and the Center was still giving her soft food two days before the discharge date. We had to prompt them several times before they switched her to more whole food. They should have been transitioning her earlier back to regular food.

The community is well rounded with lots of activities, a few community rooms, and a bustling clientele. I did not like that the community rooms on the upper floor with the residents was dark and undecorated... like a bland lunchroom. I found the staff to be rather high strung... CNA's seemed overworked and sometimes less than caring. The meals available lacked solid nutrition.. often high carbohydrate and over boiled. The outpatient wing had a bit more thought out into it... I admit that the physical therapy area was well put together, and had a loving group of people dedicated to helping their patients. Rooms for residents was very hospital like and lacked color, decoration and warmth.
