I like Waterford Towers because I can afford it and it has all the amenities that I was looking for. This is the best facility among all facilities I have visited.

The staff is great and concierge is spectacular. One Friday I was in the elevator and the doors opened one flight down from me, an elderly woman came in with a smile as we greeted each other I wondered where she was going. She then pressed the button for the doors to open two floors down from her floor. As the doors opened there was her friend sitting by the waiting area, elegantly walked in with a radiant smile and dressed to impress. I had to ask them where they were going. "They said, "We are going to the movies in the building." That moment was priceless to me. WFT is a secure building for the elderly but gentrified for those young at heart. WFT shows their residents that they are still a part of a living and thriving community.

Entering Waterford Towers was like entering the reception of a funeral parlor; very dark walls, dark wood, dark blue carpeting that doesn't show the stain, and low light bulbs although, of course, it looks gorgeous on the brochure. I was expecting something called senior independent living, but I do not know what they mean by this. For me, senior independent living is an apartment with services. That seemed like a warehouse where people dump their old people because they don't want to pay the cost of assisted living.

We looked for a place for my mother-in-law and visited Waterford Towers. It was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. I liked that there was 24-hour security service. The place was very secured. The apartments were just the right size. Although, my mother-in-law thought it was small. They had a large public area in the lobby. The staff monitored the residents. They did not want them to just sit in the apartment for the whole day.
