About This Community

Care-One at Morris of Parsippany offers a unique campus model that includes assisted living, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing all on our property, thus allowing residents to truly age in place! We also have 2 memory care neighborhoods - one for beginning and mid stages of Alzheimer's/Dementia and the other for the end stages of the disease. We are very unique in this concept but feel this is crucial as there is a vast difference between both stages, and these programs pay close attention to the different needs of our residents.

Residents enjoy:

  • Beautiful apartments with a kitchenette (refrigerator and micro-wave) and large bathrooms with easy in/out showers
  • Three meals a day in a dining room setting and healthy snacks, our dinning room is open all day!
  • 7 days of exercise classes, activities, live entertainment and bus trips (NYC, Jersey shore) and scenic rides
  • Regular family nights, Casino Nights, Themed parties etc.
  • Housekeeping and laundry Included
  • Complimentary Wellness checkups
  • On-site healthcare services; 24/7 nursing and aide staff; medication management
  • Assistance with activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, etc)
  • Theater Room with comfortable seating
  • Large Salon
  • Cable and Phone Service
  • Common areas and outside patios
  • Transportation to Dr. visits as long as office is with-in 12 miles of our Campus
  • We participate in the Medicaid waiver!

I chose CareOne at Parsippany Assisted Living for my mother. She's in the memory care unit. It's ok. I don't say it's great, her bed has been broken for six days. It's still not fixed, her bed doesn't go all the way up. We kept trying to tell him three, or four times, but it's still not done yet. It's still not replaced. We had to bring pillows from home to prop her up. The facilities seem nice. The room is not cleaned, the bathroom is dirty, and maybe they're short-staffed.

CareOne at Morris was very expensive. That's what I like the least about it, the price. I like that the people seemed engaged though. The residents seemed very attentive and engaged in the activity. They were watching TV during my visit and one person was sitting at a table with a caretaker. I don't remember what she was doing or if she was doing a puzzle or something, but it looked kind of one on one. Then the rest of the people were watching TV and they looked like they were engaged in the TV they're paying attention to. I toured their memory care. The lady there gave me good information. She gave me a pamphlet about the payment that I could get because my father was a vet. She gave me some information. The others spoke of it, but she gave me a flier so that was nice. The place was very clean but looked not too easy to get to and I have a sister who does not drive that needs public transportation.
