My experience at The Chelsea at Manalapan was very nice. The rooms were also very nice. They seemed very upscale to me. They have short trips with the bus to take them to see different things that are happening in the area. They have doctors on-site. The staff seemed very sociable. The dining area was very nice. It was pretty meticulous.

The room I saw at Chelsea At Manalapan was very nice, and they had very nice people, but the room was shared, and I wasn't impressed with that single room. It wasn't as nice, but the people were very nice, and the personnel were very accommodating. They had a very spacious living room area and a very nice outside patio, and I did like that. The room was clean, but it was very small because it's a shared facility.

My mother is made to get up at 6:30 AM and get dressed.There is no lock on the door and she has told me that she feel's scared. She has no way of calling me because I live in the UK and they wont cater for over seas calls. I have to keep on calling until she is in her room. The last time I spoke to her she had to virtually hang up on me because they tell them they must be in bed at 9:30 pm. My mother suffers from anxiety and this place seems to be more suitable for a prison....

Mom is at Chelsea at Manalapan and the facility is great. She loves it. Her room is nice and loves her room. Everybody in the family is happy with her being there. The people there are phenomenal and they were really nice. We have no complaints at all about the facility. It's very, very nice place.

My mom has been in The Chelsea since September. Just the entire environment there I found to be very warm, cheerful and friendly. It's a community there, maybe 62 or 63 residents. The staff is very attentive, very warm, friendly and it's a family environment. Everybody knows each other and the staff knows everybody's name, they know every family member by name. When you walk in, they say hello and they call you by name. It's a very warm, caring, supportive environment and everyone seems very happy there. I liked the studio apartment that was available very much and the location, I have two cousins that live nearby. The dementia had progressed and she wasn't doing well and she's a new woman there. She's happy, she's participating in activities. They have a nice schedule of activities going on every day both in the facility and trips out. They have an exercise class in the morning several days a week. They have a walking club but in this weather stays mostly indoors. They play casino, bingo, Scrabble and movies, they have discussion groups. I can't say enough about it. My mother is very happy there and I'm completely thrilled with them.

I was quite impressed with the facilities. The housing seemed to be quite nice. Attendants were very kind and always helpful. My family member was very pleased with the living conditions there, however was uncomfortable with the atmosphere of an assisted living home. I do not believe this to be any fault of the company itself, but simply the fact that she was not used to an environment with many other people in it. The grounds were well kept, and I was always impressed with the location.
