I went to Parker At Stonegate, and that was lovely. I thought Deborah was very knowledgeable, very warm, and runs a good program. The place was very attractive looking. I saw a unit, and it looked nice. At this point in time, the activities were sort of lacking; it was my only negative about it. There weren't so many activities that would be interesting. But I thought it was quite attractive, and the people walking around didn't look unhappy.

My experience at Parker at Stonegate was good. The rooms were very adequate, and the admissions people were professional and knowledgeable. The price was equivalent to other places, and the location wasn't very convenient because it was one of the farthest away from home.

Parker was very nice and less expensive than the other one we visited. I liked everything about the place. The staff was friendly. The place was extremely clean. The menus for all of the meals were extensive, and there were a lot of choices. They had all of the services for medications, showers, and feeding. The rooms were nice and large. I did not meet a lot of the staff, but the staff members we did meet were friendly and very professional.

Everybody was very pleasant and nice during our visit at Parker at Stonegate, but they only offer assisted living, and I need an independent living place. It was also very expensive. I didn’t see many people around conversing with one another.

Please note that "Parker at River Road" is a nursing home. "Parker at Stonegate" is the assisted living residence. It is for higher functioning seniors. When health fails, the residents can generally move to the nursing home next door.
I toured Stonegate with my parents and was very impressed. One thing I loved was that there are several small "nooks" throughout the residence with card tables. Residents can get together there to play cards or meet with guests. Residents have access to the workout center and swimming pool next door. There is also a daycare facility onsite, and frequent opportunities for the seniors to interact with the young children.
I am very familiar with the nursing home. Parker's standards are extremely high throughout their facilities.
