My mom has moved to Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue. The community is friendly, roomy, and very open. The staff is very friendly, they're excellent, they have doctors on site, and their physical therapists are very friendly and helpful. And they keep in touch as far as physical therapy goes. They have concerts once a month, they do bingo, and other people come in and keep them active. They paint pumpkins, do nails, do trivia, and do word searches. They do a pretty good job on the upkeep.

We like Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue for my uncle. He saw it yesterday and he liked it. The tour experience was very nice and the facility itself was very nice and very clean. The outdoor spaces were nice. The location is in a really cute town. The studio was very large, and it was a perfect size for him. The facility looked nice. The staff was nice. The dining area was really pretty. They had an art class going on, and they had people playing card games and watching T.V. It was later in the afternoon, so I think a lot of people were napping, but there were people doing activities. They had outdoor gardens and a beautiful covered front porch with lots of chairs.

This is a good place for dad. They are very helpful and provide good communication to all the children.
After one year dad is quite happy here and I appreciate the level of care as I live out of state.
Quality accommodations, peace of mind. Thank you.

I liked the fact that Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue was very bright and the double bedrooms had separate bathrooms. It seemed that people were warm and friendly. The dining area was spacious and clean. The person who gave me the tour seemed like she was in a little rush, though, but I was able to see everything. The residents were at the main entrance of the building where the TV was, and they were sitting around talking. They had a pretty large auditorium as well, which I thought was great.

My husband is at Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue. It's a very clean place. The nurses there are there all night long. They have a very big dining room, and they have two servings for every meal. He lives in an efficiency apartment by himself. He's got a bedroom and living room combination with a TV, a little kitchenette, and a bathroom. I think it's a good size.
The dining area is crowded. They don't want people to eat there, and as far as I know, you have to have a private dining room if you want to invite people. It's because they sit with each other at the tables.
They have nice benches all over the place. I've only been in front, and he hasn't been outside much because he's in a wheelchair. They have a lot of activities. They have bingo and they have people come in and do concerts and things like that. They take them to Walmart maybe once every other week, and to ShopRite, too. Every other week they go to the Monmouth County library.
The staff I've seen have been very nice. They all know the residents by name and they're very friendly with them. I mostly would be in his apartment with him, and then if I'm not there, he would be around with the other residents.
It's a kosher facility.

I visited Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue's assisted living. It was a very positive venture there. I toured with my aunt and that was the first time that my aunt had been in a facility. The woman who brought us through gave us a wonderful tour. It was very low-key but very positive. It was towards lunchtime so there were lots of people at their dining area, which was very pleasant, and very nice.
When we first came in, we were required to have our temperatures taken, which were very good. Masks, of course, were worn. The front area was staffed and very professional. We sat there until the lady came out to give us a short tour.
We went over and saw the downstairs, which was very pleasant. They had a room that was being renovated but while we were there, they were using that room for a memory contest of sorts or a word contest of some sorts. They had probably 30 people in this facility while they were doing that. We were impressed with it.
It was a very attractive setting. They were rehabbing the area to make it into some type of cafe experience. After that, we took an elevator upstairs and we viewed both a studio and a two-bedroom unit. Both of them were very sharp, very clean, and very, very appropriate. We're hoping that we get my aunt into a studio in the initial beginning, but probably after two years, and we were thinking at that time, Medicaid is going to probably kick in because her finances are not great, we would be pleased with her being in that studio. It was large enough, it had a separate bedroom and a common living room. They had a small area for a refrigerator. The facility offers you 3 meals a day so cooking wouldn't prove to be a problem.
We took the elevator back downstairs again and the hallways were large and spacious. When we got downstairs, the woman gave me a little goody bag and explained a little bit more about the facility. I would be very pleased to have my aunt go there should we decide to go the assisted living route. The only thing that would be a concern would be the distance from my daughter to go to see her. It's probably a little further than we might want for my daughter. My daughter has been attending to my aunt for 4 or 5 years and has an excellent relationship with her so that might be the only drawback, which is the distance. Other than that, it was a nice facility.

Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue was very nice. It was great. Morgan was great. She took me through, and she was very accommodating. The place was beautiful, really nice, and very clean. I was impressed with it. It's a nicely decorated carpet. The rooms were nice. In the gathering halls, they had TVs and their couches were nice. The dining hall was nice. The outside was very nice. The whole facility was nice. If I had the money, I would put my dad in there, but that's part of the problem. They had a lot of programs there to keep everybody occupied. They have movie nights, bingo nights, and casino nights. It seemed like they had a lot of activity to keep everybody occupied and it seemed to be well run. They had a barber/salon, a library, and a movie theater. Morgan was great; she did a great job. It was homey.

Placing any loved one in any facility is not an easy choice. There is no place like home and this is probably one of the most emotional decisions we as a family had to make. Not to mention the financial obligation involved. However, with that said, we feel like Mattison Crossing is a near perfect option and we all feel very comfortable with our decision on choosing Mattison Crossing over other facilities we toured and received names of, from other people’s recommendations.
My mother has only been at this facility for a little over a week, but so far, Mattison Crossing appears to be a five star facility in my family's opinion.
Physically, the place is very appealing and has a very positive feel from the moment you walk in. There are just a couple of hallways/corridors that are in the process of being upgraded with new flooring and wall coverings, etc., and I am confident that once completed, it will be 100% aesthetically equal to the rest of the place.
But more important from the physical appearance, is the care. I have to say that during the past week and a half, every staff member I encountered has been wonderful! They all seem very professional and genuinely concerned and caring about the residents. I am sure there may be 1 or 2 staff members that are not as compassionate, as there is no such thing in life as “perfect”, but honestly, I have not run into any negative or uncaring staff. From the Director of the place (Devi), to the Director of Nursing (Katrina), to the Marketing & Sales Director (Morgan), and many of the aides, they have all been very accommodating and caring and I can only say great things about them. I am not only referring to how they are treating my mother, but during the short time mom has been there (and I have been there every day), I have observed all the staff with other residents, and clearly they treat everyone with compassion and dignity.
I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention, they do have a variety of activities throughout the day and into the very early evening, which hopefully appeals to a vast majority of people. Some are very mentally stimulating and I do hope they come up with a few more that continue to stimulate the mind.
Thus far, I have to say this was the perfect choice for mom and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facility!

My mom has lived here for a few years and it was the best choice we ever made. She loves the staff. Everyone knows each other by name from the residents to the employees. When you walk in you just get this immediate welcoming feeling. The staff is always so accessible. I can literally call anyone at anytime and get any questions I have answered. My family and I feel so grateful that my mom is in a place that she truly loves and is healthy and most of all safe!! I can never thank Mattison Crossing and their staff enough for how much they have changed our life’s! They will truly always hold a special place in my heart!!

1. I was so impressed by the apartment size and accommodations.
2. The caring and pleasant staff.
3. The quick response to any questions or concerns you have.
4. The cleanliness of the facility should be number 1. I've been to quite a few places that I checked out, and the freshness of this place does not make you feel like an assisted living place.
5. Overall, when I see how well my brother and his wife are doing and how happy they are, that tells it all.

Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue was spacious, airy, and clean. There's a welcoming feel to it. We were impressed with everybody that we met. They answered our questions and were very forthcoming. They had lovely amenities, like a movie theater, a small synagogue, a lovely outside sitting area, and nice small areas to congregate outside the rooms (in addition to a larger area). The individual rooms were lovely, spacious, and clean. We did not have a meal, so I can't comment. The dining area looked clean and pleasant. People were eating at the time and everybody looked happy and well attended. I could see the attendants moving around. The facility was lovely.

My Mom lives in the community and she is so happy here! The staff is always going above and beyond for her and all of the residents. It really is a team effort at Mattison Crossing. And the care parenters are exceptional. They all have such a great bed side manner and make my Mom feel so loved and safe. I could never thank the staff enough for everthing they do for my Mother!!

I have used this facility 4 or 5 times for respite care for my mother for the past 5 years. Each time we were very pleased with the entire experience. Staff was great, facility was clean. I can’t comment on food as I didn’t eat there. Mom never complained so I guess it wasn’t bad. As I feel nothing in life is perfect, I would rate this facility a solid 4 stars out of 5. I do plan on using them again when Need be.
