My father is in Lions Gate for rehab. We're very happy with it. It's very clean. They take very good care of him, and they push him, which is good. We have no complaints. He talks about the food. He says it's OK. He doesn't like fish and I think they serve a lot of fish, but they're taking care of him. The staff is very helpful. The facility is beautiful and well maintained.

Mom is in Lions Gate, and she hates it there. The food is horrible, and she feels like the aides are not too attentive. When I bring her stuff and I send it, it takes them hours to get it to her. Sometimes, she has to wait half an hour to an hour for someone to get to her when she pushes the button. It's also very expensive. She's in a private room, and it's now costing us $520 a day, which is a lot. For that kind of money, I expect more attentiveness to be honest. The facility is okay, and I don't have a problem with the layout, it's more on the care my mom is getting. Now with COVID, there are a few activities and they keep getting cancelled. Mom enjoys music and entertainment, but they keep getting cancelled. They should work on improving the food and attention to the residents. I just don't feel like my mom is getting the attention she deserves. It's a perfect location to me. It's close to my house and I can drop off things, that part I like. Sometimes, they're clean and maintained. She complains that sometimes the trash piles up, which I assume is typical for nursing homes, and she has to beg somebody to come and get it.

Horrendous skilled nursing facility. Senior administration does not communicate policies, processes and other necessary information to residents and their families. They do not return calls or emails. In the 1 or 2 instances they did respond they were disrespectful, disingenuous and not fortcoming. Understaffed. In 2 weeks ratio of aid to resident was 1:16 (supposed to be 1:8). In house Physical Therapy rude and overrides physicians orders. Staff will not even try to help mom transfer from bed to bathroom. They can’t be bothered. When they finally respond 20 minutes after rung for they tell her to go in her diaper. She never wore a diaper during the day until moved there. Her mobility severely decreased after only being in their skilled nursing 2 weeks. She will likely never regain it.

Disappointed in the lack of bariatric beds and/or care. It seems like a bias based on the size of the person in need of care.

Our TRUTH

Please Please do not make the same error as I have. This facility does not deserve your love one as what is sold to you will NOT be the reality. This property was totally unprepared for the Virus. The Staff is under Paid and the property does not staff properly. Lionsgate had NO plans on how the family could stay in touch with our family. Its chaos. Little or no infectious disease control even if they lead you to believe they do. Sure, probably in their SOP collecting dust in the Director's Desk. IF you can take care of your family at home, DO IT! Stay away from Lionsgate. It's all smoke and mirrors. The food is so awful. Awful!

My husband stayed at Lions Gate rehab and everything was very nice. They have a common room with tables, armchairs, and books. They have a restaurant on each floor, with small tables for up to four people. The staff was very nice. The food was good.

The facility itself was nice, as it was less than 5 years old. Staff members were very kind and accommodating to my Grandfather. Unfortunately one evening he took off his ring and locked it in a drawer and it was stolen overnight, presumably by a staff member. This experience tarnished our feelings about the facility. The amenities were nice, big courtyard, a lending library, and a large bird cage with brightly colored birds. I think my Grandfather was happy at this place.
