My husband moved into Bayside Manor. It's wonderful and it's a family-run place. The staff has been great and very caring. It's a very homey atmosphere. I got a lot of help the first few weeks because I was nervous. The food is homemade. It's wonderful. Everyone has just been more than kind, every staff member, from housekeeping to all the way up. It's just been a wonderful experience.
My husband is in the special care unit. It started as an assisted living place and then the owner realized that the patients were getting older and needed more help, so he built back special care units and other things. They have a hospice unit so that they could continue with their care.
It's very clean. They have a chapel, they have ongoing activities, and they have entertainment. They just have a lot of everything. My husband doesn't speak. He's got dementia and he's pretty advanced in that, and they try to get him to do activities, and sometimes he can. They have entertainment where they bring them in to do things. They've been very good about having someone come in and do physical and occupational therapy with him. I've been very, very pleased. For the assisted living part, they have movies, bingo, and things going on all the time for them. They have a beautiful patio with umbrellas and I take him out when I'm there. You can eat out there if you want. It's very nice. I'm so pleased. I was lucky to get him in there.

Mom is staying there. The staff is attentive and compassionate. Gently helping with personal hygiene while allowing one to retain her dignity. Family run by a good family.

I visited Bayside Manor. The owners were very informative, warm, and caring to all their senior citizens. It's family owned, so that was really nice. They had activities like visiting bands, bingo, and reading articles for the people who could not read. They served three meals a day. However, the rooms were small and dark. They had a nursing home, which was a good thing because you would not have to go find a nursing home later; you would just move from one part to the other, and the same people are taking care of you in a familiar place. It was very likeable and had beautiful grounds.

I'm a friend of one of the residents. When I first went it was so nice the people were friendly. They have so many secrets that they don't tell the family. Like how they had bed bugs I wouldn't be surprised if they still have them. They're gross and I would never put a love one in this nursing home ever again

I like Bayside Manor very much. It seems to be well run, and my husband is well cared for, so overall, I am very pleased. They provide semi-private and private rooms and are very pleasant and helpful with moving and hanging up any pictures or anything to personalize the rooms.
