Evergreens is a buy-in, but they gave us a lower rate. I like them better than the other community I visited. It's a very nice place, and the person who helped me during the tour was very friendly. Their dining area was nice, but it was not as fancy as the community I've chosen. I've observed a lot of walking, there are trails everywhere, and it's literally the only thing I saw anybody doing. I think they also have an art studio. I wasn't impressed with the layout; it was very tricky.

The Evergreens is very welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very kind. There are many things for the residents to do on the grounds. The residents are also free to leave the facility with a chaperone and explore the town. My uncle was part of the independent living facility for a time before being moved to the assisted living section. He had a lovely apartment that was just big enough for him and a guest. The staff is very involved with their residents and they treated my uncle like he was family. I felt like he received the best possible care. Every time I walked into The Evergreens, the receptionist always greeted me with a kind, warm smile. The executives, nurses, and staff were always plesant to speak with and I never had any issues. My uncle really enjoyed living here and always raved about their excellent desserts!
