Mountain View Nursing Home was very clean and very nice. They're understaffed though. There were some issues going on over there. I'm not pleased with the admissions coordinator, because I've called two or three times for the status of my application and I never get a call back. The rooms were laid out very nice. They're fairly good sized and they all had private showers and bathrooms.

I have heard negative stories over the years about Mountainview Nursing Home, so I was a little bit nervous about checking it out. I had heard that patients weren't treated well and staff treated them like a burden. I was surprised when I visited that this wasn't the case, at least not as far as I could see it. I admittedly didn't get to visit on every shift so it may be different at different hours. I saw residents that were clean and well groomed, I didn't see anybody that looked abandoned and I noticed several residents speaking to staff. The lawns were well maintained and the common areas clean. I did notice a bit of a urine smell however, which I wasn't too happy with. It is possible that a resident had just wet themselves, but it made for an unpleasant aroma. On the whole, it seemed like an alright place.
